With Davis and Gruden out of the way....

A little conjecture then...

With Kiff available to sign and be announced right away, do we conclude that if Lane is announced by Clemson, then Hamilton got the word he wanted to hear from the Davis camp and now we just wait for season's end?...

That is what I would think

and you have a very reasonable chance of being right.

In theory I like what he brings to the table.

Pedigree
He's young
Not afraid of a challenge (taking the HC job at Oakland at only 31)
He's got ton's of motivation to prove himself after the Raider's fiasco.
And he can recruit a little too.

Or he could wind up like Shula's sons who got jobs strictly on namesake alone.

It's a roll of the dice that I'm willing to take

Davis aside, Kiffin has the most to sell to a recruit out of any of the other candidates.

Honestly, I don't understand all the love for Kiffin.?. What has he accomplished? Who couldn't recruit and win at USC when he was there? He has a career head coaching record of 5-15. Is it the pipe dream that he might bring his dad as the DC? That would be a nightmare. Because your going to ask, here is my list...assuming everyone would be interested.

1. Gruden
2. Davis
3. Muschamp
4. Kelly
5. Leach
On the fence about D'Antonio.
