Why don't we hear more about John Hagee, whose endorsement John McCain was "proud" to gain.

Anti-Catholic, Anti-Semitic, Anti-Muslim. Seems like a great man to have on your side.

i don't know maybe because he isn't mccain's pastor of 20 years (or his pastor at all) and close advisor. you are grasping at straws emainvol. i'd say the apples to apples comparson is farrakan endorsing obama except that farrakan is a much bigger racist (and obama has much greater connections with farrakan).

Maybe because McCain didnt attend his church for 20 years, have Hagee perform his wedding ceremony, baptize his children, or refer to him as his spritual mentor... plus mention him in his book several times. Trust me, there's more stuff on Obama than just this.

EDIT: Just saw droski's post, I would add McCain doesn't have known ties to a terrorist that I'm aware of.

I'm not grasping at anything, I just feel that this should at least be reported.

Obama has also rejected his endorsement, he never said he was "proud" to have it.

I think the media and RNC are overplaying this. By the time the general election starts up this is going to annoy people that it keeps being talked about.

and thanks for your input, as well. It really added to the discussion.

As Droski said...you're grasping at straws. Hagee endorsing him is not even on the same continent as Obama being a member of Wright's church.

Yea...I'm sure Obama hopes it is just talked and talked about.

Take that up with Hillary's crowd, they might do the same with it that they have with the Wright / Obama ordeal.

I question some of your accusation here. While I am sure they have helped to keep the fire going...they can't make Wright stand up at the NPC and look like a total idiot. He did that on his own.

Hillary's crowd did the inviting knowing full well that Wright's ego would force him to oblige their every whim.

OK. But the fact remains this guy is so dumb/egotistical, that he not only took the bait but he took it and made the situation even worse than it first appeared. So I question, how exactly did this man's ideas elude Obama for 20 years?

they didn't is the long and short of it, but Obama can deny knowledge because no one else can prove otherwise.

I think Obama's wife probably drives the train in the decision making about which church to attend and I also believe that she and Wright see eye to eye moreso than Barack and Wright do.

I didn't say it was, but there is an obvious comparison considering both men in question are Pastors.

It has been reported in the NY Times and Washington Post... and probably others.

What more do you want?

The television media isn't touching it, it would be nice to see someone actually take a stab at this.

I find it rather amazing that out of 20 years worth of sermons, they found about 3 minutes of sound clips.

Jon Stewart has. George Steph. briefly asked McCain about it but didn't force the issue. Might be on reserve for if and when the GOP digs up Wright from the grave (where the issue should be right now).
