Wish we could have played Oklahoma this year

They are now 1-2 and lost to Iowa St. which is the same team that lost to Louisiana by 17 points. Meanwhile, it looks like we are finally winning the games we should win without the major drama and finally have some depth. Anyway, too bad we couldn't have kept them on the schedule as this would have been a good marque win for us early.

I hope that a second loss, and the fact that they get demolished in the playoffs, will finally convince the CFP to stop giving them an automatic berth.

I don't mind that they lost to Iowa State. Iowa State has a record of losing some games thet shouldn't and winning some they shouldn't the last couple of years.
I would like to see us play Oklahoma at any point under Riley because he doesn't know how to build a defense. He thinks he has the offense to outlast anyone. He is wrong.

We aren't where we want to be just yet, IMO. I don't know if we're good enough to beat their teams from the last time we played them. But they clearly aren't as good as they were then, either.

B12 is a dumpster fire with okstate the best team with one loss and perhaps TCU.

You can pretty much plan on osu, clemson and the two best SEC teams in the CFPs unless they let Cincy slide in. Three game p12 shouldn't serve as a qualifier for CFP.

I feel like the CFP Committee should count anything less than 10 games played as "ties". You know, the way a tie is worth 0.5 wins.

So the B10 teams, who all only play 9 games, will begin their season at 0-0-1. And the best they can do if they go undefeated through 9 games is 9-0-1.

The PAC, who only play 7 games, would start 0-0-3. And could end up 7-0-3 at best.

Compare them to the ACC, B12, and SEC through that lens.

Seems fairest way to do it.

Before Covid I was telling people that we would win that game because Spencer Rattler lacks patience and would throw it to the defense. I wish the game hadn’t gotten canceled because I stick to what I said back then. Rattler has thrown 4 ints in the last two weeks.
