From Cfn.scout.com this morning.

22. Tennessee (0-1)
L, at UCLA 27-24 OT
next game: UAB (Sept. 13)
The Ranking Should Be Higher Because … the team should be much, much tighter after another game or two. The defense isn't likely to struggle too often like it did over the last few drives against the Bruins.

" The game could've gone either way and there's no reason to get hung up on the loss. If anything, the play of QB Jonathan Crompton to get the team in a position to force overtime at the end was a major breakthrough. The running game will be tremendous all season long if Arian Foster and Montario Hardesty run like they did against the Bruins."

You are absolutely right. We will not play like this again. The worst is behind us, let's move onto more important football, the SEC. Stay positive and we'll move forward.

ManningManiac...I love the picture.

Me too. I like that we play FLA at home, I haven't drank the RED cool aid from Athens, and I don't see us losing to S.C. But I am nervous about our meeting down in Auburn and I'm not going to eat chili on the day of the Alabama game even if it is in K-Ville.

This game wasn't the end of the world, but it did point out what issues our offense needs to work on. Crompton has got to start getting rid of the ball, and when we can run, we've got to pound it. Clawson needs to come out and have Crompton running screens, wheel routes, and slants so he can get his accuracy going.

Tennessee should put the ball in the air 15 times a game. Screw the pass, line up and smash the other team in the mouth.

Be happy all. We have the 1st two games that are not SEC opponents and we will use this to work on it....The SEC is what we are worried about right now....

umm we lost to a bottom PAC 10 team that was playing 2nd and 3rd stingers. This team is nowhere close to being ready for the SEC.

Up the middle and a cloud of dust is what Tennessee was once known for. I want to get back to that.

Tennessee should have never left it.

Run, run and run some more. Throw a PA pass in every once in awhile.

If your damn TBs are averaging 5 and a half yards a carry, why stop?

Bottom line is this. Anyone with optimism right now is a loon. Maybe if UT picks themselves up in a few games then maybe an ounce of optimism can creep its way back then. But until then I am a Negavol until the coach and staff prove otherwise.
