After the game: "You can't turn the ball over like we did, especially on the road,'' Franklin said. "We didn't play very well, and that's my responsibility.''

Not a negavol, and i think James Franklin is the biggest cheerleader in college football.. However, taking all the credit for a loss is the one single thing i respect about him, besides making Vandy competitive.

Nevertheless.. Good to get an SEC win. GBO. Lets ride this momentum..:salute:

How about giving the other team some respect for playing better? Did he do that? I didn't see it but it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't give us any credit at all

Coach Dooley doesn't have to say it because it's implied. Coach Dooley knows, as well as the fans and everyone involved with the AD, that the performance of the team is his sole responsibility. Franklin did a lot of talking before the game and his post game response should have been "I should have kept my damn mouth shut. Tennessee is a better program than us and they proved it again tonight. A win over them would have been a great achievement but we didn't get it done. Congrats to Tennessee."

Coach Franklin is a punk.

It's a BS cliche that he doesn't believe any more than any other coach that utters it. It's crap that he says to make him sound like a great guy to suckers like you. He is a dirtbag kiffin style BS artist, that obviously has no problem teaching his players to play dirty. We will see how long his rep holds up if that crap keeps on happening.

I never once said anything to make him sound 'great' you fool.. i basically meant that out every loss we've had, i've never once heard dooley say something along the lines of "We didnt play well today, and thats my fault... we should've been better prepared."

And if he ever did, there is a contingent that would cheer and point to that statement as a strong reason to fire him ... and fire him NOW! There is a group that won't be satisfied if he won consecutive national titles because UT gave up too many points during the seasons or some such assinine reason.

I don't believe as a coach you should have to tell everyone it's your fault because in the end if it keeps happening then you get fired!

Dooley has said things to this effect before. I'm paraphrasing, but it was along the lines of "we're not playing very well... and that's on the coaches too".

Is it just me, or isn't it hilarious that Vandy's post game presser is sponsored by Dollar General?

I'd imagine that Restoration Hardware or Costa del Mar would be more desirous of shilling to those Range-Rover driving pr*cks.

Anybody catch the part where he took a jab at Dooley? He said he's not gonna complain about youth or injuries. He will take responsibility for HIS team. I already hate this guy.
