Wired Tight for Florida

From reading the forum, I am not sure if there has been a game in a long time where the fans are as wired tight as they are for this Florida game. It has been a long time since the NC game, but I don't think that I wanted to win that game anymore than I want to win this one. Am I nuts? Please don't ask my wife. GOTTA, GOTTA, GOTTA WIN THIS ONE.

To me it seems like it gets this tight every year before Florida ever since Bama's current OC was our HC

0-11, 5-20 will make a fanbase tight, especially when for a good portion of those games, you fielded teams capable of winning.

That's a shame it has been that way. It's time to catch up starting this wkend.

i don't think they are. they're the ones that can control what goes on in practice and ultimately during the game.

obviously they're aware of all the outside noise, the streak, Tabor etc...but that's what they signed up for. to win games like this. i'm sure they feel confident. i'm sure they expect to play well.

and i'm sure they're a little pissed off. want to or motivation isn't going to be the issue.

the difference is, if things go sideways early, that's when the doubt can creep in..the "here we go again" thoughts.

that's where the mental edge comes in to play for FL. i think they believe they're going to win no matter what happens. someone always makes a play for them.

i've said it multiple times this week...the're the bully, we're the bullied, there's only one way this ends in our favor. they're going to have to fight for it, and fight thru all the "stuff", surrounding the game, and things that will happen during the game.

My yearly physical is always scheduled the week before the Florida game and every year my doctor says that my blood pressure is a little bit high. I told him I really need to move my physical to sometime in the Summer.

I'm not one to typically allow sports to dictate my mood, especially when a big game is 4-5 days ahead of time. However, this week I have been tense and anxious. I'm ready to have a huge sigh of relief come Saturday night

This is the first time in years I'm confident,bordering on cocky for this game. I've always had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind but we are about to run this team straight back to Gainesville baby!!!!!!

WE are about to put the SEC on notice

I have nothing to base it on but I believe we blow the gators out early and we party into Sunday!!

- Both ranked top 20
- Blown 4th qrt leads in last 2
- Fl talking mad ****
- 7pt favorite

Any true vol fan is wired tight right now. I don't remember this much anticipation before a big game in recent history. The FL games in the 90's were similar to where we are at now. I'm just ready for the game. Win or lose I'm ready. After being in Fl for the game last yr I'm trying to relax, and not get too high.
