Die hard fan and not one to jump the gun, but after yesterday I feel confident about saying this....its time to clean house! The coaching staff is getting stale. Its been the same guys for the last 15 years. How many other schools in the top 25 have the same guys running the show? We've got analog players in a digital world here and it shows. Everything run from scrimage is too predictable because it hasn't changed!! I believe the talent is there or else they wouldn't have kept it close til the 2nd half at Cal or UF. Chavis obviously doesn't get how to train a defensive player to think (123 point in 3 games). Theres a reason Cutcliffe didn't last at Ole Miss and nobody else wanted him... Special teams I think you get the idea. And Fulmer just doesn't know how to compete against a spread offense, the option or anything thats not running the ball right up the middle. He doesn't know how to motivate or keep a teams head up which I think showed yesterday in the 4th when the Gators dumped 24 on us!!! I love this team and it just kills me to see them 1-2 and going down the same road as a few years ago...

The only good thing about what happened with yesterday's loss is that the trolls are coming to the surface. Its a bad way to get new members, but hey...Welcome to the Board :hi:.

I have supported Fulmer but:

2005 – Offense couldn’t score any points and gave up critical turnovers
2006 – Defense couldn’t stop anyone in crucial situations (i.e., FL, LSU)
2007 – Total team effort: Offense making critical turnovers for points, Defense giving up over 100 points in 2 games (Cal, FL), and Special Teams giving up big returns for TD’s and allowing the other team to constantly start their drives at or near mid-field.

The wheels have come off. :banghead2:

To add to that: I saw this in the Chattanooga paper this morning. Our opponents are averaging 44.5 yards per punt return against us.

Everytime I see one of these threads, I cringe because of one reason. Trooper. Don't wanna see this guy go. He brings too much emotion to the team and it would suck if he left.

I don't think you can blame the OC for dropped balls on crucial drives or fumble for no reason. my only problem yesterday was that we stopped attacking and settle for short yardage, rather tha going all out for td's.

defensively..well, chavis had guys in position a lot but with the poor tackling it didn't matter. defending the spread puts you in a lot of single coverage, and our corners got picked on.

special teams - I think its less a matter of coverage and more that our kicker sends the ball down the field so low that we can't cover in time. kicking it to the 5 doesn't help if its a line drive.

we were in that game at the start of the 4th, but everyone gave up. we didn't capitalize on opportunities (the dropped int by mayo for example) and droped passes killed great drives

He only scored 13.

yes. he scored 13 points against a florida defense that was supposed to be young and inexperienced. If we couldn't score against florida this year (with our offense supposedely being pretty good) when will we ever score points against florida again.
