Kind of puts everything into perspective when the hiring process for your program involves doing backflips to hire assistant coaches.

That said, Go Vols!

Let this crap go....He is here for his full contract.....Period.....With these hires at least 3 more years.......

Hart knows what he is doing......

Get over it.....LOL

Your right. But just think what Sunseri, Graham and Pittman is going to do for recruiting with 3 weeks to go before NSD. I think we will get some kids now who was not comming here before.

You guys ready to take this party to the recruiting board for the next 3 weeks.

Deep deep thoughts. How long did it take you to put them together. That can be said of every college o pro coach in America.

I agree OP. The only hire that can save Dooleys job is hiring Doc Brown to fire up the Deloreon to 88 mph to go win some of the games he has already lost and/or go see what other teams play calls are on future schedule so we can prepare for it.

The Back to the Future reference was good. The only thing VOL fans care about are wins. CDD this season should never utter anything about young, inexperienced or depth. Those are excuses that were true during 2010 season not now. Something in the coaching staff was lacking last season. I just think it was ability to motivate and teach good technique. He has the talent to beat Florida, South Carolina and Georgia this season. I'm hoping they can prevail with a great season, although I'm a realist and don't expect more than 8 wins.

Will you give CDD credit for anything? The hatred towards CDD is ubelievable

Is it worse than the hatred directed at Fulmer? I thought way too many fans trashed a coach who was second only to the General in wins. His time had passed but I will never understand the vitriol of fans toward CPF.

It is a great hire, plus the hiring of Pittman and Graham, all of which are enough to get excited about. But the fact is, Kiffin almost destroyed us. Dooley had nothing to do with that. He came into a terrible situation, but even with all the negative people throwing everything at him including the kitchen sink, he has kept his course and has recruited some outstanding talent as well as good character type players, and now has hit a homerun with replacing former coaches with better coaches.

Yes, we are excited, as we should be. UT is back. We cannot re-write history, it is what it is, but the future has brightened tremedously this morning. Let true Vol fans enjoy it.

Go Vols!

I agree. CPF was all vol. He had a great run and brought us a NC. Its too bad his legacy is tarnished by how his career ended. it was his time to go, but doesnt change what he did while he was here.

Bringing in this coach or that coach doesn't change the bottom line-- it's win or go time for Dooley. I don't care who the coaches are if we go 5-7 or 6-6 again-- it's time for a change. Which is why I think Dooley will step it up.
