That was one IMPRESSIVE press conference!! He seems like a great down to earth guy that’s serious about taking on this job this new role for the program and that says alot. He gave steps to the plan he expects to take and wants to be a WINNER!! I’m all for him and seeing where he takes UT football in the next few years. We all know patience is a virtue and if we can ride out the next couple years even if they are rough we will begin to see results in year 3. It’s my hope and all fans hopes that we could be playing in the SECCG by the 3rd year. So get on board because this will be one hell of a ride!!!! As always Go Vols!!!!

"Your expectations aren't anywhere as high as mine are aight? Cause I expect, aight, to win every game we play aight?"

That line speaks volumes. Forget his superfluous use of "aight". He isn't talking about rebuilding, he's talking about winning. "I want everyone to roll up their sleeves and go out into the streets with the rest of the SEC." "I want this to be a program that people don't want to have to play."

He didn't use cliche's, I didn't hear crap about bricks. I didn't hear anything about Germans or bamboo. All I heard was win or GTFO.

I can get behind this.

Great post....

Sounded like me

We got that same draw here in parts of West Tn

And he sounds just like a good friend of mine who grew up in Hartselle Alabama. It's kind of like making fun of your brother talking. You can dog him all you want, but nobody else better say a word!

Add a "don't give a ****" button and I'll click it.

Could care less what any coach says, as long as he wins.

Press conferences do not WIN football games.

This gentleman is quite correct. This fanbase has been filled with emotion after every new head coaches introductory press conference. Some even claimed they liked Dooley after he used the word britches. We all remember how that worked out. I’m sure most of us still have Butch Jones’ on demand cliches rattling in our heads.

No thanks, I’ll wait for the product on the field. This doesn’t mean I do not support Pruitt. It just means I’m cautiously optimistic as to how this hire will work out. I’d prefer to see results before making any judgment. I think that’s fair.

This is where I'm at on this. I got hyped up over Kiffin, Dooley, and Jones. I refuse to let myself get hurt again...

means nothing to me. We have heard it before.
We are going to the top again.
No one will run on us.
Ya da, ya da, ya da.
I`ll keep an open mind and see what happens on the field the next couple of years.

No one noticed but they said on 104.5 that no one named Haslam was at the press conference. he is usually there when a football coach is introduced. The coup must have been successful.

I prefaced the post with the fact that press conferences mean nothing. In fact, this business is about results. The only thing we can judge him on is his results elsewhere and this press conference. That’s why there isn’t an “I don’t give a ish” button. It’s assumed that you give some ish just to open up the thread...
