No it’s not. Football is king down here, the University of Tennessee is a football school first and foremost. Other sports are second hand. If you told me that in the next 5 years we wouldn’t win a single game in basketball or baseball, but it meant we won a national championship in football this year I’m taking itNo disrespect but if that bothers you then that's a you issue.
Here’s how it is for me, championship in baseball, I’ll carry for a month, championship in basketball I’ll carry with me for the offseason, championship in football I’m carrying with me for the rest of my lifeTo be honest, that sounds like a deflection to justify saying it. The truth is I agree with them. A championship in baseball doesn't mean much to me. One in basketball would be cool but I'd rather have one in football by a mile.
