I am finally convinced that we WILL NOT be anything more than mediocre as long as CPF is AD. The reason is, his way of putting his brand on the team is to choose coaches HE LIKES and feels he can mold and influence. I know this is a DUH moment for many but I just wanted to believe that he had the Team at heart. He is the same ole Philmer.....he always knows best.

Upon completion of this investigation they should fire him and hire Blackburn. Tell Blackburn to clean house once and for all and that his success is directly tied to the success of the Football program first and the remaining programs a close 2nd.

We will be mediocre until we have stability and leadership and Saban leaves the SEC. Every SEC team has replaced their coach at least once since he came into the conference. Most teams multiple times. The playoff system will further his stronghold as the top players narrow their choices to those schools who hold the best chance to go to the playoffs - Bama, Ohio St, Oklahoma, Georgia, Notre Dame, Clemson.

I believe that Bama can be beaten given the proper admin at the school. I think we can do it. We WON'T get it done with Philmer at the helm I don't think.

Don't stop believing.......

They are 6 of 10 in SEC Championships. SEC East is only 1 or 10 in that same period.

I don't think in any lifetime we could beat Bama 3 times in a year. I would settle for losing reg season and beating them in the SEC CG. That is a ways off and getting there once means nothing if you can't get there consistently.

I get accused of being an eternal optimist and a sunshine pumper, but in fact I'm just unable to wallow in despair for very long.

So if we do in fact have Pruitt another year, I will be interested to see what he does now that he is freed of the mysterious allegiance to JG.

And by the way, if he had to keep playing JG because JG or his dad had something on him or on the program in general (interesting timing with his benching and the compliance investigation start - I enjoy a conspiracy theory as much as the next person), it just goes to show that submitting to blackmail only makes things worse. If someone threatens to reveal something, to hell with them. Rip off the band-aid and move on.

There’s so much angst in the RF, can’t even peek in the FF, it’s almost like everyone wants to will something to happen, that it actually will. Reading all that, I’m just hunkering down and waiting for the anti climax that will happen.
