Windy's football discussion thread.

A good year for Kentucky football is beating Tennessee. A great year is beating Tennessee in Neyland Stadium.

After each offensive series yesterday my dad would ask me "think we'll see a new QB next series?". I just said I dont think so. I did tell him, if there is a QB change, it will be with 4 minutes left in the game and we are down 40 points. Surer than TFG being into M4M porn:p, with around 4 minutes left in the game, here comes Brian Mauer in as QB.

WTF? Now, if this is a sign of a change for the future, I'm OK with it. But, if we are just going to revert back to JG... imma gonna be pissed! Not that my opinion means a hill of chit to anyone.

You're absolutely right. About TFG.

I don’t think there’s any way we see anyone other than JG the rest of the year. And now I’m thinking next year too.

I will say this, JG had a decent game yesterday,
B U T he doesn't have that "IT" factor. He doesnt inspire anyone. TuTu has the "IT". Trey has the "IT". And I can see some "IT" coming along in our young receivers. But, JG just dont have it. Not many people do have the "IT".

Peyton had "IT". Tee was surrounded by a plethora of players with the "IT". I never was high on Clausen, but again, he had some "IT" with a bunch of "IT" surrounding him.

My point, hell, IDK! I guess I'm meandering around to say if you dont have a team or, at least, a squad with the "IT", then you sure as hell have a QB with the it. That is the position that can provide the spark to ignite the fires that can create a whole team of "ITS". Lol

I reserve the balance of my time for future outburst.

Oh, and one more thing...

FAWK B***!

G B O!

The game yesterday went pretty much how people with a functioning brain predicted it would go. A beating.

And just to prepare everyone for next year, it’s going to happen again. Don’t be mad. Just accept that you chose to follow a team that sucks.

Your approach to motivational speaking is unique.

I like it.

Agreed.
I don’t know how anyone can look at Tennessee football history and think any differently

Thinking about how nonsensical it is to not have Maurer come in for reps with the 1st team offense either in practice or games like yesterday. Is it possible CJP doesn't want Maurer to showcase his potential because it might make it challenging to retain Salter, our dual threat recruit?

Deer Lawd, I hope that is not the staff's thought process. I would hope they want young men who aren't afraid of competition. IMO.

It seems to me it was Pruitt's plan to get players all around and try and keep JG till the end of this year then in year 4 he has the team about built and a QB for 4 years that could have us competing and it could prolong his chance of success.

Salter will decommit if Chaney stays - I dont see him running a spread offense anytime soon
