My degree is broadcast journalism, and granted I’m behind the camera now, but I still deal with media type things all the time (except being stuck here as a Stupid recruiter). I got journalistic vibes. Then seeing his tweet that the committee was only focusing on last teams in during the weekend just furthered that thought. Again, the committee is wrong. But him telling us that was what was going to happen was just that. He said “you don’t have to like it, but they aren’t changing Kentucky and Auburn.” Di** move by the committee and there’s no other way to view that. But Lunardi was just telling us. The fact that it was shi**y made it sting.I don't understand the hate towards Lunardi. His mock brackets are partially based on what the committee tells him. Now, his brackets aren't him being right as much as him being given most of the answers.
When I saw him earlier today with his lengthy explanation as to why UT was a #3 seed, I got a lot of Wolken vibes. It seemed more like pre-emptive PR instead of a logical, consistent analysis. Just my opinion.
The fact that so many blue bloods and contenders lost made it an easy call. Once the cinderella's are wiped out, the blue bloods are what keeps people watching because most people are gonna have at least two of those teams in their final four bracket. My degree is broadcast journalism, and granted I’m behind the camera now, but I still deal with media type things all the time (except being stuck here as a Stupid recruiter). The committee didn’t care about any of the weekend events to include:
1. Duke losing the ACC
2. Purdue avenging their loss to Mich St
3. aTm making it to the championship game
4. Tennessee beating Kentucky (again)
5. Tennessee winning the SECT
6. Auburn losing in their first game
7. Rutgers losing early
I’m sure there’s more. This is just off the top of my head.
May 70% of the people you see in NO be clad in Tennessee orange!Nope. And ask me how glad I am that I booked our room a month ago! We're spending a day there for hubby's birthday.
I kinda dread it now, whichever fans are there for the game. I hope it's fanbases I can tolerate. There aren't many. lol
Imagine the ticket prices if both the Vols and Kentucky made the FFNope. And ask me how glad I am that I booked our room a month ago! We're spending a day there for hubby's birthday.

85 Surgar Bowl. I got back to my barracks in Arizona right at half time. Sitting in a room with a bunch a dummies that had bet me money and beer that Miami was gonna whoop my beloved Tennessee. HahaWould be more like the ‘86 Sugar Bowl, 90%+.
In S. FL all that was on TV was how "when" Miami won, they were going to slide into the National Championship. Not a word about having to play a game.85 Surgar Bowl. Anywho, were watching halftime show when Lee Greenwood started singing God Bless the USA. I told them all to listen. I knew when he got to the part "to the hills of Tennessee" the crowd was gonna go nutz. He paused after singing "From the lakes of Minnesota" and the crowd absolutely erupted.
Still makes the hair on my neck stand to attention.
Same way in Louisiana. Everything on the TV and in the paper was about the fawking Hurricanes gonna beat Tennessee to death with that Martha fawking Testaverde. Damn! If I were able, I'd add to his Wiki:In S. FL all that was on TV was how "when" Miami won, they were going to slide into the National Championship. Not a word about having to play a game.
