Not sure if he’s getting a cut or not. Went to the Mizzou game this fall with my best friend, his two brothers, and their dad (been considered the spare son since 4th grade). The youngest brother bought us the shirts to wear when we were supposed to go to the Cardinals game the night before. We went to the casino instead

I can’t stand fathers coaching sons so as a wee one I couldn’t stand the Wade and Alan Houston era. I’ll never be convinced Wade didn’t alienate and destroy the team just to show off his son. I’ve grown to appreciate Tennessee basketball since, but it definitely opened the door for my Duke fandom. And I know it s hypocritical and gross. But oh well, here we are.

Alan obviously was an incredible player and I like him, but less than I would if his father hadn’t taken the Vols down the crapper. And I like Wade as a person.

One of my favorite Vol memories is going to the KY game at Stokely in ‘80 with my Dad. We both got in with student tickets. Vols beat #2 KY.

Still three of my favorite Vols were on that team, Reggie Johnson, Howard Wood and freshman Dale Ellis. KY had the great Kyle Macy and freshman phenom Sam Bowie.
