Windy's basketball discussion thread

The surges here are serious right now.
I talked to a cousin last night who just got over COVID about three weeks ago, and he tested positive again on Thursday.
I will be very surprised if this basketball season (along with the later bowl games) proceeds with anything approaching "normalcy."
I guess I'm wondering how long we will continue cancelling things and not living our lives? COVID isn't going away. Seems like it's best to learn to live with it as best we can and get vaccinated

so just let positive tested players go out there and play? Sounds like a great idea.

They have other players right? How many players were positive anyways? I haven't seen a number. I think the whole incident is suspicious considering it was an hour before tip off
Of course you think it’s suspicious. Temple and Drexel doing the exact same thing just as suspicious huh?

An anonymous source says Memphis would’ve only had four or five players.

Does Drexel and Temple have a coach that has been caught cheating/lying at the AAU, Middle School, and NCAA level or having a guy caught cheating as much as Larry Brown on staff? Do they have an AD and coach who is on record for not wanting to play/continue the series?

It's likely legit but Memphis hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt and all of the contradictory press (that both myself and TFG has seen locally) gives us some doubt.

medical doctors aren't risking their licenses over a basketball game. But go ahead. I don't care what dumba** ery y'all want to buy into.

I don't give a crap about Temple. Wasn't talking about their situation. Only the UT one

@hmanvolfan, are you OK to attend a sporting event, or will it be awhile still?
It’s gonna be a while. Before cancer I weighed around 185. After first chemo and radiation I was 160. After this past chemo 150. Went to my gall bladder removal post op appointment Wednesday and they weighed me at 137. That’s almost unbelievable. Have to force feed myself.

I don't think anyone is doubting the positive tests. There has been contradictory information locally here all afternoon about how many players were impacted by contract tracing (it's been all, a few, or just a couple). The contract decicion/decision to play isn't made by the medical doctor.

We will see if Memphis plays their next game in 72 hours

I got 20 or so pounds to spare.

They had 2 positives. The rest were contact traced. I'm with TFG. It isn't going anywhere and we are going to have to learn how to live with it.

Hook up with some local and drink 3 or 4 shakes a day.

Are there any high calorie things you like?

Greasy stuff wasn't my friend after getting mine out. Stay away from that stuff. 🙂
