@volwindy the answer to your question in the Duke/UNC thread is that a “hook” is different than a “hook and hold”. A hook is rarely, if ever called.
Those trying to say the guard shuffling his feet all the way during Zion’s drive should’ve drawn a charge deserve laughter.
All Barrett did was get his arms tangled up with the guy. He never held the player, putting his safety at risk, nor pulled the guy anywhere. It was as basketball a play as any ever.Didn't realize there were the two. But if it is a hook and hold as so many people are proclaiming, why wasn't it reviewed, or why wasn't it asked to be reviewed by UCF? Didn't Coach Cal ask for reviews twice in the game against UT, so why not here.
I agree. I think Zion (or someone else) got called for one earlier in the 2nd half and the defender was still moving. You get some calls, you don't get some calls, but people remember only the ones in the last 3 minutes.
