Windy's basketball discussion thread

I'm a college basketball junkie. Now that Tennessee is really good, and number 1 at that, the BB talk is intolerable. I watch literally every single night. Whether it's St John's vs Georgetown, Rider vs Iona, Duke vs UVA, Mich St vs Michigan, TN vs Auburn, or Kansas vs OU (I don't stay up late enough anymore for PAC 12 games). Every single game I watch absolutely RAVES about Tennessee, Grant Williams, Schofield and the job Rick Barnes has done. Why does this board have to continually pretend Tennessee basketball is treated like trash? It's worse than reading the FF.

Please stop using BVS from football into basketball. It's ridiculous.

Barnes has been of the best hires I've seen! Don't mistake my "worrying " in here with bvs. Me and Windy have a system going, I say I'm worried, then she tells me to shut up, get off, or calls me names, and we win!

It’s not just you Joe, it’s the whole basketball forum. I’m admittedly a weirdo (for a lot of reasons, but specifically here) because as a kid I hated Wade and Allan Houston and fell for Bobby Hurley, thus creating a life long love of Duke and a ho hum attitude towards Tennessee basketball. But the “fans” of this potentially championship favorite team would rather wallow in misery, citing fake and misinterpreted bias instead of relish the ride of being a favorite and the praise given on a nightly basis.

I’ve never thought there were posters in here that wanted Tennessee to lose in football so that they could say they were right, but I do think some are waiting to lose in basketball so they can get off this ride because they’re so scared.

I agree with you, we get a lot of respect from the media, it's refreshing.
