it's not even a slightly bad loss for Gonzaga:

1. They've beat them twice already
2. St Mary's is a bubble team
3. St Mary's is a Quad 1 team

This does nothing to the Gonzaga's seeding. If UVa loses early in the ACC tournament, they might drop, but it's unlikely they lose their 1 seed either. UNC/Duke/Kentucky/Tennessee/Michigan St will fight for the last two spots. UNC is only in trouble if Duke wins the ACC Tourney. If Kentucky or Tennessee wins the SEC Tournament, they get the final 1 seed.

I have no idea what happens if Duke wins the ACC Tourney and Tennessee/Kentucky win the SEC Tournament. Carolina might fall off. If UVA or UNC win the ACC tourney and someone else wins the SEC Tourney, Mich St might steal the final #1 by winning the B1G.

Here's the thing... Phil extended Holly's contract last August. To do that and then cashier her this Spring is soooooo... Hamilton. Fulmer cannot pull a Hamilton. Think about it.

So, if Holly is to be replaced at some point in the near future, she should be superseded by a woman.

That exact scenario happens every year in lots of athletic departments. It’s only “Hamilton” in that he had to do it.

So, you argue that Hamilton had to extend Fulmer's contract, and Hamilton had to fire Phil the very next year?
