Looks like it came out 1/30/07. Anyone have it yet?

I've messed around with it some on a friends computer and it's ok. It's definitely more media friendly and has some nice features..

I'll migrate to Vista once there's more DX10 games and hardware on the market.

I don't see any reason yet. Plus, a couple hundys for an ungrade is too expensive right now.

Maybe when serive pack 1 comes out.

I agree. The only reason my friend has Vistas is because she had to get a new computer anyway.

I read a quick review on it the other day. They say you are either going to love it or hate it. Furthermore, it's supposed have a similar feel to the Mac's OS... which is a dramatic change IMHO.

I'm curious to try it out. :good!:

I'm not a big fan of the mac os...in fact, it's probably the biggest thing keeping me from going to a mac. we have been looking at mac for my wife's photography buisness and i'm just not looking forward to working with their os. just my .02

OSX gets a lot of publicity. If you aren't that deep of a computer buff you may actually find yourself liking it.

You can also run Windows on Macs.

The newest ones, this is true. They have moved to an intel processor that is now x86 like everyone else.

The point here is that you get a lot less machine for a lot more money if you buy a Mac.

I've been playing with a pre-release version of Vista since June. So far, it's been nothing but crashes, blue-screens, and heartache.

I agree with the earlier posters- It's not worth it until Service Pack 1 comes out.

Also, if your PC is older than 1 or 2 years, don't try it. You'll be very unhappy about the performance of your pc.
