I made that same point last week. You can also add Andy Kelly's 9-3 season in 1991 to that list. You have to go back to Jeff Francis 19 years ago to find a senior QB that didn't win 9 games.

I have confidence in Ainge, and I think he will perform well. Its other areas I'm worried about.

i was definitely kidding about the heisman. i think we will go 11-1 in regular season, win SEC, and play BCS bowl. i won't say if we win or lose the bowl

Oh its doable, but we will have to recieve breaks along the way. I sure as hell wouldn't bet on either 13-1 or 14-0 though. If we do this Fulmer will be back on track. I hope he suprises us.:thumbsup:

The defense will be solid with chavis leading the way. He has been solid the past 10 years (even in 2005). The offense has already made strides since Randy sanders has left, and we have no reason not to be the favorites coming into the season in the SEC East.

I added it. That was before the SEC was split into 2 divisions, so UT finished 3rd in the SEC.

I feel the same way.

On the positive side defensively, 3 SR and 1 JR on the front 4 and very good players coming in to play in the secondary. The LB's are probably the deepest position on the field.

Anybody that thinks 14-0 is "doable" for UT this season with our anemic offensive line returning, our crappy defensive line returning, holes all over the place in the defensive secondary, and a returning wide receiver corp with only a few more college receptions than I have (which is zero for those counting) needs to step away from the crack pipe.

I'm going to predict that we'll see some defenses, if allowed by our offensive line, go after Ainge's knees.

Let's just hope Cutcliffe never gets that wild hair in his ass to call the QB draw (my memory isn't good, the play might have been a blown one....). Anyway, I know if he scored at SC it's a genius call, but he didn't and looked like a stilt walker in the circus trying to get to the endzone. Ainge, in a million years, should not have a running play called for him outside of the 1 inch line, going in.

Yes I was being very optimistic with this post. Anythings doable when we have the kind of talent we have. You need to read my other posts.
