They need to let Withrow and Hutton have a run with the afternoon show. I think people would be surprised how good that show would become.

This seems like a no brainer to me too.

Not sure how credible it is, but someone just posted on Twitter that the 3HL is moving to the afternoon drive. Interesting if true.

I was always amazed a city with two professional teams and in the heart of SEC football had a show that spent so much time talking about baseball and the only insider covering the Titans they had was the old Houston Oilers beat reporter who still lived in Houston.

I agree, not to mention the Preds. Come on now it's football season and Plaster and his crew want to talk about the Preds all show! To both good riddance, Plaster needs to go back to Philly where they care about hockey.

Amen and then some.

But they did have Terry McCormick from Titansinsider on so there was Titan insite. Problem is that when he came on the first thing George wanted to do was talk about the Yankees with him. He never realized the guy is there to talk football.

I like my orthopaedist and his vast knowledge on muscle and joint problems but really dont give a crap about his views on Ming Wang.

Well i won't miss Plaster and his constant Preds and Braves slurping. Daunic might need to reconsider, his wife has two more bathrooms that she wants to remodel:)

I won't miss hearing about baseball on Monday afternoon during football season.

I actually like the John McClain segment. Dude knows his stuff and provides a pleasant amount of crazy.

Glad i dont have to hear Plaster say (in his whinny ass voice) "NOW WAIT JUST A DAMN MINUTE" ! he made me sick. And Mark Howard real A-HOLE to the public. Just my personal experience.

Disagree. He'll answer as if he knows all the questions but in reality he doesnt. There's times where he's made comments about specific players that are wrong. Granted he does have a things that are insightful but just dont take his word at gospel. He'll never says "I dont know" to a question.

That's where the pleasant amount of crazy comes in.

Lot of hate for the Preds for no reason. There are a bunch of Preds fans in Nashville. It is the cities team. No problem with them having a Preds segment. They dont just gush about them every second they can like they did with Vandy.

I quit listning to Plaster and crew awhile back when all they talked about was the Preds might move, save the Preds. Plaster's problem is he wanted in the worst way for this to be a pro town like Philly, he could just never come to grips that the Vols and college FB are #1 in Mid TN.

If they replace George and Willy with a team of three-toed-sloths, it will still be a faster show.

And how in the world did they pick up Hyams as a Tennessee "insider" in the mornings?

"Hey Jimmy, what's new in Knoxville"
"Well, immy 'pinion..."

Count how many times Jimmy says "I think." JH is totally annoying and to have him as an insider is laughable.

Mark Howard is a tool.

The best part of the morning show is when Kuharsky rips on Mark

The new ownership at 104.5 is obviously making some changes. We all know what Plaster went through with them years ago, and obviously they didn't make too much of an effort to renew Daunic's contract after the fact.

I was never a "Plaster Homer", but I didn't mind him. He's a good person for the sports world in Nashville, and he really did want to do his best for the city. Not sure of this "Philly love", Plaster loves Nashville, and I for one am glad we have pro sports here. He did a ton to save the Preds from leaving.

I wasn't a big fan of the afternoon Sports-Zone, but I worry about what the ownership has planned for the future.

...Lastly, people hating on Kuharsky are odd, he's a funny dude. Him and Wychek teaming up on Mark leads to some pretty funny stuff.

I could see doing it for the first season the Titans were in Tennessee, but come on. Its been 14 years now, besides the crazy old man that owns the team how much more inside stuff could McClain actually know that people covering the team in Nashville not?

I'm sure Plaster is a good guy, but he and Willy together was too much. Or should I say, not enough. Love or hate the 3HL, they are getting the ratings. A market like Nashville craved an SEC and NFL centric show. Add to that, a personality like Clay Travis, and it would seem to be a recipe for success. Check the ratings. The same formula has worked in Atlanta and Birmingham.

George and Willy were boring, their guests were boring, and Willy especially, seemed butt hurt over The Zone becoming the home of the Vols. They just grew stale.

George & Willie okay, though both vandie guyz. Clay Travis & the 3-hour yawn is simply awful. Today they were discussing Amanda Knox & Nancy Grace. 104.5 needs to "de-shamble-ize".

Everyone I know rips on Mark Howard but he does help the show in a major way. It's entertaining for the Wake Up Zone to dispute everything and Mark is always in the thick of it.
Willie was basically Plaster Lite. The show I thought was better with Willie and not Plaster and seemed hard on both to talk about football with baseball on their minds. Hope the best for both.

The way he berates callers he thinks are stupid is immature and unprofessional. Just because some callers don't know as much as the average fan is no reason to treat them that way. If somebody calls up acting like a jerk, rip 'em a new one. I have no problem with that. But he complains about a lack of "smart" fans, and he does nothing to educate them except discouraging them from learning anything by belittling them.

And they do a little too much "jabbing" with each other. Get on with the sports talk already. A little jabbing goes a long way.
