He's still raw and needs to add plenty more weight to be able to hold up physically in the SEC paint, but his rebounding ability is hard to diminish. The trait is one that requires heart and desire and a knowledge of positioning and how the ball will come off the basket. Carmichael's length doesn't hurt, either.

Rebounding numbers aren't kept at the annual summer league featuring current and former players from Tennessee and other nearby college programs, but Carmichael had plenty and chipped in a handful of blocks and one thunderous dunk on Wednesday night.

"I keep working hard, and I keep getting better," he said. "I haven't reached my peak yet, and I refuse to reach my peak. I'm just going to keep working harder, lift weights, work the hardest I can work and make my teammates better, whatever it is."

I assure you this guy will be a fan favorite, his energy and tenacity is something you don't find very often. You can definitely see why Tyndall compares him to Faried, he needs to add muscle, but so did Faried, however their games are very similar.

Really excited to see him and Jabari develop.

The two are very similar. In my opinion Jabari looked better Monday night. Willie looked better last night. I believe when one comes in to relieve the other at the 4, there won't be a drop off at all.

I missed Monday so I'm curious to see them tomorrow night, but I saw no comparison between the 2 last night. You can see the athleticism in McGhee, but I saw nothing on either end that looked close to polished, Willie appeared very solid defensively and rebounding.

Willie looked like a dear in the headlights Monday. Went against Boo Jackson alot. Enough said on that.

McGhee went head to head with Reese several times and beat on him pretty good. He definitely looked better than Reese. I left after the first half since it was the last game and heard that McGhee didn't play much in the second half. Reese scored most of his points when McGhee went out.
