University of Tennessee football player arrested for assault, police say

KPD officers spoke with the victim, who told police she had invited Mohan over, but she realized he was drunk when arrived. She told officers she rushed him to her room so her roommates would not wake up.

Mohan reportedly began to initiate sex with the victim, and when she said no, he reportedly began calling her derogatory terms.

Mohan became angry and used one hand to grab her face and the other to choke the victim, the report stated. The victim told police that Mohan reportedly choked the victim by grabber her and pulling her towards him.

The victim told police she screamed, escaped Mohan’s grasp and grabbed an iron from her desk, asking Mohan to leave. The report stated that he refused, and the victim went into the kitchen to grab a kitchen knife.

When the victim returned to the bedroom with a knife in hand, she told Mohan to leave again. The report stated that Mohan walked up to her and used one hand to grab her throat and the other to take the knife away.

At this point, one of the victim’s roommates entered the bedroom and also told Mohan to leave, according to the report. The victim told police that Mohan did leave but shortly afterward started calling her and knocking on her door again.

You’ve never heard of domestic abuse victims continuously going back to the abuser?

Absolutely... She'll go right back after he's out of jail too. At least wait until he's an NFL'er before you press the charges. There's no money in it right now. Not smart at all. Geez.

It'll be interesting to see how much corroborating evidence there is. If the police report is true, it's a terrible story.

Is this heupels first serious player incident?

You left out an important quote from the article......she let him back in a second time after he left. I was on her side until I read that. Not very smart.

"The report stated she let Mohan back into the apartment, where he passed out on the couch. She began calling numbers in his phone to get him a ride home, the report said."
Yes, this is the most important statement of this article. Why did she (and her roommates) let him back in? Not trying to draw any conclusions but there are three sides to a story, her side, his side and the real side. Ridiculous behavior from the player and ridiculous decision making from the girl!

It doesn’t matter. He’s done. He assaulted her.
You know that? AJ "raped" that girl, right? Or did she just have a different motivation?

We don't know what happened here but the fact that she let him back in calls into question her one-sided story.

Honestly him showing up at her place drunk and getting into any kind of incident like this should be grounds for severe punishment or dismissal. However it is probably a mistake to take her version at face value.

Aren’t the dumb most in need of assistance?

😂😂😂. Don’t make his conduct not criminal.

No. A girl accused Bailey of abusing her dog. He had the thing with Salter and company last spring too.

Don't make it criminal without knowing the full facts. We have her side of the story. He is guilty of something that he shouldn't have been doing but it is doubtful her version is objective, unbiased fact. Without question, people in her situation tell their story in ways that make them look innocent... when she may have played a role in escalating things.

This story seems a bit strange to me. It sounds like everything was fine between them up until she started calling numbers in his phone. Did she fine other females in his phone and get mad? It appears like she didn't call police until after she went through his phone.
