If the mighty VOLS are undefeated going into Georgia week . ( and that's a big if ) we would clearly have the best resume in college football ! I think we would be the # 1 ranked team in the nation . Just my very optimistic opinion .

Even if we find a way to beat this Georgia juggernaut don’t think it will come close to the joy beating bama last year or the gators in 98. We aren’t a fanbase that rushes the field after any win like some fanbases that will rush the field after beating a team not even in the top 20.

No…Rushing the field would give too much credit to the Georgia win! The Alabama win last year was special on various levels that are absent in a win over Georgia. Additionally, fans of great teams do not rush the field after every great win…this should be accepted as a regular occurrence!!

Second: Crybaby Nick had the SEC pass a rule (I think, could ne wrong) that visiting team gets a cut of the fine. If so it would suck for Kirby and company to get the consolation prize.

I’m with you, friend. They simply aren’t worthy for such a…well, I guess we could call it an “honor,” right? To have a home team storm the field, tear down the goalposts, etc. when they finally beat you? They’re having a good run with Kirby but we just don’t have the same history with them that we do with FL and AL. I hope we never have such a history like those with any team again. Save the storming for when it actually means a whole lot.

- "Dead Puppies" by Bill Frenzer/Ogden Edsl

If we're undefeated it's possible to be number 1. That would mean we knocked off a top 3 Bama at Tuscaloosa. I could see UGA being a victim of their own schedule.

Rushing the field for the Alabama game last year was 16 years of pent-up frustration coming out coupled with the fan reaction to one of the best endings of any game ever played at Neyland. If UGA is #1 and we knock them off in similar heroic fashion, I would not be surprised if it happened again. Now if we come out with our heads on fire and blast them, then I think the party needs to stay in the stands.
