We can only hope taht they do with this kind of win in a hostile enviroment and with Georgia off it might me too close to call but we will most likely be right on thier heals.

We SHOULD move up. Miami wasn't the only top ten team to lose today!!

I hope we move past UGA, but if we do it will just be one more reason to scrap the BCS system. How do you justify ranking a team ahead of another team with equal number of losses that beat them by 27 less than a month ago?

It's not going to matter anyway. Auburn is going to lay the wood to GA next week and make this easy to figure out.

13 in one poll and 9 in the other. That's a BIG difference. :shakehead:

It's a big difference, but the critics were only counting on us moving to about 13 in both polls...#9 in one will give us more leverage against the dawgs...The question is, can UF jump the dawgs in the BCS with a win over the deflated Criminoles?

Who knows how in the world this will all play out, but at least we have somehting to talk about for the rest of the season now.

We may move ahead temporarily, but our SOS takes a huge dive starting next week. If the voters hadn't boosted UGA so much despite their off week I'd be more hopeful, but at this point I'd say our hopes are hanging on the Aubies or GTech... and GTech just gave it up to Duke!

I can't ever remember seeing a 4 spot discrepancy from the AP to the ESPN poll for anybody ranked inside the top 15. I'm not sure what's crazier, us being #9 in AP or GA being #6 in ESPN. Who knows what the computers are going to say???

I think the coaches poll is about useless. Many of them supposedly let someone else vote for them and there is no way they can have time to even watch SportsCenter before they have to turn their votes in, especially if they have a late game.

Editors note: Georgia would go on to beat the hell out of Auburn 26-7 and so began the sad career of the internet's worst message board prognosticator.
