Will we get a better bowl game if...

We win out and Florida wins the east and gets destroyed by Bama. Florida may win the rest of its SEC games but they won't beat FSU. They would be a three loss team and we would be a two loss team and most likely finish higher in the polls?

Versus Tennessee winning the east and getting beaten by Bama again giving us 3 losses and no SEC title?

I'd rather not risk it, and I'd also rather not cheer for UF to win...anything.

Let's win out and watch UF lose a couple more. Trust me, it's better that way.

Best scenario, TAMU gets lucky next week, and we draw them in the SECCG. When healthy we will wipe the field with those guys. Then we'll get a really good bowl! If TAMU went unbeaten and was 2nd or 1st in that game, and we slowly climb back to #9 or so, we could still nab a playoff spot and get to listen to the *****ing from the rest of the fans about a 2-loss team backing in. Then when we win it all, they can go cry to Mommy.

Citrus Bowl automatically gets the "winningest" SEC team not in the CFP. At this point, that could be a number of schools.

Sugar Bowl will probably get the next pick.

You'll have 3-4 schools that will finish similarly enough that the bowls can argue either way. They'll pick the matchups that they feel will draw the biggest crowds.

Florida will lose to LSU or Arkansas. We should beat these hapless stragglers and see Alabama again.

Is the citrus bowl now a bigger game then the cotton bowl or the sugar bowl?

I agree that this is the most likely scenario. My question is, do you think this is the best scenario?

Is losing a third game better than ending 10-2 and not making the SECCG?

The Citrus Bowl has the biggest payout outside the "Playoff Revenue Pool." The Sugar Bowl is a part of that, and I'm not exactly sure how that works.

The Citrus Bowl has a mid-day New Year's Day time slot, which is a pretty big deal. NYD still has the best ratings for college games.

Does that make it a "bigger" game? I guess that would depend on your point of view. Those of us old enough to remember the Spurrier comments, will always have a bad taste in our mouth for the Citrus Bowl. But, in reality, it is a pretty big game.

Personally, I'd rather play in the Sugar Bowl, if only because it's the Sugar Bowl.

If we win out, we'll get a good game. If not, we may end up in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl.

I for one am rooting for Bama to fumble like 7 times to Texas A & M and we get that rematch instead.


Lol not realistic but a boy can dream can't he?

Going to the sec championship game is always the best scenario! YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!! This is collage football anything can happen on any giving day. FYI Tennessee at full blow or close to it is a game vs bama.

I'd rather win the East and get crushed by Bama than not win the East

I have a feeling that floriDUHHH will lose to both LSU and Arkansas.

That would pretty much seal the SEC East Championship for us as long as we WIN out with a MASH unit for a Team.

Best option...alaBubba stumbles and loses to aTm and we fight aTm again in the SEC Championship game which I believe we can WIN if we get some of our best players back because I know we will NOT have so many turnovers again.

WIN out and WIN the SEC Championship game and I believe we'll get picked for the Playoffs.

We really need Harry Potter and his wand to heal up lots of our players, LOL!

Our medical staff really needs some astonishing luck with so many injuries we have now.

We're NOT dead yet and anything can happen during any game.

I think a goal for this team at the beginning of the year was to in the SECCG. A healthy Tn team and a team going against another that has beaten you badly during regular season can be a dangerous animal. I'll take those odds again. I don't think we will get beat down like last sat. in a rematch

I am clinging to your optimism with my heart, but my head refuses to accept it until we win the SEC East and we play A&M in the SEC Championship

I hear ya, but after that drubbing to Bama we will never be selected to the playoffs. Especially if Bama loses to TAMU.

Our playoff hopes are pretty much gone whether we win the SEC or not.
