If there was ever a game where it didn't matter about covering the spread, this one is it. But yes, the Vols will cover.

Will they cover? Not likely but not impossible.
The emotion is high in Columbia MO and it rates to be a low scoring game. I would have to have a big reason to give the 9 points and I don't have one.

Just win this game! Mizzou has had UT's number the last 3 years. Get over the Mizzou hump, beat Vandy and get a decent bowl match-up.

We come out with the same game plan and pathetic energy we will get beat by 20.... We straighten up and play with fire and enthusiasm we are capable of, we cover the spread and more.... pretty simple.

We're worrying about covering a spread? We could easily lose this game. They're hyped. Playing for Pinkel. We HAVE to come out firing!

You can't take the NT game too seriously. I think the team will respond.

This same Mizzou team was just spanked by Miss. State who runs a similar offense as we do. As long as we turn Dobbs loose, we will win this game decisively. Their defense will give us some trouble starting out, but I expect our offense to grind them out and control the clock if we execute properly and play up to our capabilities. Vols - 34 Mizzou - 13

We should wear these guys out, the problem is we don't know how much of our own offense we can run.

I agree with that assessment, but the problem is that nobody really knows if Dobbs is available to be turned loose. If I'm Mizzou, I do the same thing as SC and take away the dive and make Dobbs prove he has the wheels to run the offense.

That's the only real reason for concern, is whether or not Dobbs is healthy enough to be the playmaker that he is. Take away his running abilities and he's an average QB. I can only hope that he will be good to go come Saturday, we need him.

One More Time,, Listen Closely Please.. DOBBS IS HURT!
He cant be turned loose! He Cant plant his foot and make a hard throw! He cant cut and make a run.. About all he can do is hand off , make a short toss, or scramble to the line of scrimmage and avoid the sack.. DOBBS IS HURT!

Do you think I'm not aware? I'm speaking from a standpoint that if Dobbs is able to go 100%, we will dominate Mizzou offensively, but if he has to hold back due to injury, we'll be in for a long night. Would almost rather see Dormady than a Dobbs with no running ability. At least Dormady can hang in the pocket and let it fly, Dobbs never looks comfortable in the pocket. It's just not his strong suit.

We will lose this game. All hell will break lose. We are just not a good enough team to go in and beat this team playing for the coach and a bowl game.
