Will we be ranked in the top 25 in 2018?

I think if we win WVU, Florida, and the two easy ones we get in at least 25. We'll probably lose to Georgia but if it's respectable we might stay in. After auburn and bama we will drop out if we lose both but if we make one of those a win and keep the others respectable theres no reason we shouldnt be top 15 to 20 by the end. If we win all that we should we should have around an 8 to 9 win season which has gotten us ranked the last few years. If we beat the ones we should beat, and squeeze out a win at Florida and one of Georgia bama or auburn we'll definitely be top 10 at the end.

I think we could honestly start out 4-0 so I’ll say yes. Will we finish ranked? Probably not.

Sept. 22 Florida * Knoxville, Tenn.

Outsider's view:

I would say "no". Voters will have too many doubts. West Virginia would be considered a solid win, but the next 3 will not be considered impressive unless you just blow them all out. I don't expect you to blow anybody out the first year under a defense oriented HC - unless somebody has a 5 turnover day.

He will rebuild your defense (and player pride) in year one, then focus on offense in year two. I expect a much improved run defense in '18! Bowl? Very possible. Ranking? Show me!

It doesn't matter and it's meaningless. It only matters at the end of a season. We won't be ranked and shouldn't be. Let's do our talking on the field for a change and rankings will take care of itself.
