Butch played for the first time with all his players last season-season 5. I haven't checked but season 4 was probably pretty close to all of his too. The point is we really don't know how good his talent evaluations were and it is clear he had a lot of holes in his recruiting when you see the lack of junior WR's and CB quality and other positions.

I've also noticed you seem to not be happy with the Pruitt hire. That combination makes you a likely candidate to be an early detractor from supporting him. He wasn't my #1 choice but I like what he has done with the staff hires and I like his background and temperment. Of course this is just my observation.

We can slice the numbers however we want to make our point like Butch used to do with his wins but just look at the 2015 class. These would ordinarily be your 4th year seniors.

11 out of 29 remain from that top 5 recruiting class. Of the 11 many have either underachieved or been injured most of their career. This is what has happened to the roster. This is part of why Jones's signing day success hasn't been sustainable.

so 13 plus the 20 or so in 2016, then 20 or so more from the 2017 class. That looks like around 53 young men that won 22 games and lost 16. Also, what about red shirt seniors? Anyway, that is total wins and losses. Like you said, it can be split up different ways. But, I look at the amount of wins, then I look at the recruiting rankings of these classes, and that tells me we have enough talent to compete with the wvu's, vandy's, uk's, etc etc of the world.

We should end the Season with at least 9 Wins & be right around the Top 10 by the seasons end- If we fail this Test then our new coaching Staff should have every decision questioned- We have Top 10 Talent per all recruiting Services & it is time to quit underperforming...

9 wins? With next year’s roster? And next year’s schedule? If Tennessee wins 9 games next year, Pruitt should be national coach of the year.

If we get to 9 wins, we will be ranked at the end. However, after the latest abysmal season, there is zero chance that we will be ranked preseason.

Kirby Smart had far more returning talent last year and an easier schedule and UGA finished 7-5. Might want to relax the expectations A LOT. We do not have top 10 talent. Absurd.

If we get a Graduate QB eligible immediate....otherwise
JG overrated not SEC QB and fragile
QD is injured probably never play again as starter
WM- is not tall enough for pro style in SEC
CFB is QB driven so unless they manufacture one we will be 6-6 and never in top 25 for 2018 it is what it is

A lot of stepping up at a lot of positions if were to even have a winning season. Ol and DL, TE, WR, QB, and LB, and CB have to be a lot better. So we'll see if this new staff can coach up some players as we have top rated players at all these positions that played like crap last season.

This staff didn’t recruit them, so they gotta work around what they have, with what they want to do. May not be the best ‘fit’ with skill-set vs game plan.

Top 10 finish = Pruitt named National Coach of the Year.

By the way...
Name 1 head coach that’s come into the SEC their 1st season and finished Top 10?
