If I have to Google the name Hart failed. Need a proven commodity.

The fans idea of a proven commodity and Hart's may be very different. If a coach has proven over 2-3 years he is a winner, that may be enough for Hart to offer the job. A casual fan may still need to Google the name. Zo was not much of a "name" when he was hired and IMO he was borderline in terms of success here. 3-4 more wins here or there and this team is considered a lot better. IMO you don't have to spend 4-5 million bucks a year for the "name" to get those 3-4 more wins. Just a coach who is ready to come in and fight. JMO

Imagine the reaction if Will Wade is the guy. It'll be like a 10.0 earthquake in here

It doesn't matter if the fans are happy when they announce the hire.... It only matters that they hire the best man for the job.

Too young and inexperienced as a head coach on the big stage. We don't need any more projects. I hope Hart Won't Wade.

The guy has been at Chatanooga for 1 year! He was an assistant at VCU before that. And he should get the job for what reason, exactly? His photo on the Nooga website is humorous: He looks like a teenager who serves ice cream during the summer.

If he did, I'd roll with it. Best to support the new coach until he shows he can't get it done. Hopefully whoever is hired starts winning early and often.

I don't think this fan base will be happy with any hire and it is going to take 2 years to possibly fix this mess. I am not sure that any coach can please everybody.

I do believe that Martin was going to prolong his death here from season to season despite his run or any future success. The Million dollar buyout told Martin that he was on a short leash and that Hart would not hesitate to pull the trigger.

A lot of parameters for the next hire to get it right, so sari face the music spend the money and get it right. We have too many pluses to not get this right. Take the time.

You do realize that this is the same fanbase that convinced themselves Dooley was a good hire, right? If anything, recent history has shown that the majority of Vol fans will give three years to just about anyone as long as they smile at their press conference.

What choice do you have once someone is hired?

Will folks admit it if they don't hire the best person for the job? Or will the yoke of unconditional fan support once again be offered up as the litmus test for true fandom?

Personelly,I would take Tubby over him on experience alone.

You so crazy.

I saw what Will Wade did last year a near dormant UTC program over the past several years, and it was impressive. That said, I do think he needs another 2-3 years at UTC's mid-major level just for experience and more success, but I do think he will be a very good coach in the near future. The kids got a crazy fire about him, and worked as an assistant for Shaka Smart for a few years. He knows bball.

I would rather have White or Tyndall at this point. Wade will eventually be good, but he's simply not ready for this level, IMO.

He went 18-15 this year and he's a serious candidate? Bring on Michael White if the big names don't come.

Whoever we hire will be just like any other coach.....he has to prove himself in wins, losses, and tournament appearances. He also has to be a top notch recruiter. If he does that, he will win over the fan base in no time.
