Sorry, I think the cats are too spent to pull it off,  but the 'dores might.  They're out of the running for a bowl bid, and they might be mad enough to beat UT just for spite.  :shades:

I'll be darned. I was right. But I do have good news...
I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to GEICO. :birgits_giggle: :birgits_giggle: :birgits_giggle:

Both our teams got embarassed today. I thought a little humor might help..... so to show I can laugh at myself, here's my nomination for The Pontiac Game Changing Performance for today.

In the Alabama/Auburn game, the Game Changing Performance was:
The Opening Kickoff. From that point on, it was all Auburn. By the looks of the Alabama offense's humiliating performance in the opening half of this game, they clearly showed that they left their gameplan back in the locker room. The Tide's defense tried their best to keep them in the game, but the offense failed to even put forth a reasonable effort. By the end of the game, Alabama had been sacked 11 times and punted 10 times. They amassed 10 penalties, which when combined with the sacks, cost them more yardage than they gained during the entire game. They should have called in sick, stayed home and saved everyone a ton of money.
:hi: :shades:

That actually was the reason it was stopped.Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a kentucky player was injured or killed or was the driver in a drunk driving incident. Both schools decided to do away with the Barrel right after that. I'm sure it is stored away somewhere at UT.

Yes, the beer barrel still exists. UT is technically in possesion of it, but it's not being stored at UT. Maybe we can inscribe the past records on a sippy cup and resume the tradition! :whistling:

Sounds like a lack of creativity to me.  :disappointed:

I agree. I say we just cut out a window, put some aluminum siding on the thing, and call the game the Battle for the Blue Ridge Timeshare. Herbstreit would probably pay for the honor of giving it away each year.....
