That's the thing though. The guys weren't motivated at all. When the gimmicks don't work you become a national laughingstock.

5-0...........coach has awesome motivational tools that really connect with players

1-4...........coach needs to get rid of these stupid and corny gimmicks

No, no that’s not “for all we know”. Jones was a carnival barker focused on peripheral issues. By all accounts Pruitt has a certain disdain for all that mess.

Could the defensive guys have a WWE belt like Bama or could the offense have a huge gold chain necklace like Miami? Sure. But it’d be understated and nowhere near as unbelievably stupid as the trash can that Lyle was all about last year.

Here is Pruits gimmick, kick their $@& until they are on the ground, and then kick it some more. How about this, you kick their butt, or I’ll kick yours! Pretty sure that’s Pruits m o. And I bet it works!

Couldn’t agree more. It was kinda cool, kinda novel back in the early 1980s, but now it’s tired, it’s just played. I’ve seen teams getting trounced, down by 4 touchdowns doing it in recent years. Just stop it already.

CJP thinks the gray unis and anything other than black shoes are a gimmick. I doubt there will be much of anything that would be considered a gimmick on the sidelines.

I hope Pruitt and his staff come up with the old fashioned gimmick of coaching on the sidelines.

Didn't see much of that from Lyle and his cronies the past 5 seasons. Too busy burying his hands in his arm pits.

According to my source Butch was 20 times worse in the locker room than he was towards the players in the sidelines.

sure, he'll let the boys do something...he may let them come up with something...hopefully, he's not totally stupid about it and not let them do some kind of celebratory act because it just helps bring a team closer together better and the kids love it...but, we'll see and...

Trash cans, DJ's, Third Down for What, Champions of Life, and many others are gone. Who knows if something other may pop up? Doubtful in my opinion. We have a guy now who if a football coach and he won't have to keep reminding you that he is like the last guy who get mad at the media when they were "mean" to him.
