Don't believe Fulmer names a coach tomorrow. Not sure one is named by the weekend either.

Supposed to be by today by media reports. They say he wanted to have one by end of day. 247 says by end of day Thursday. Is Oregon the only other school still looking?

I think Phil is boxed in. He could pull the trigger on a coordinator hire tomorrow, but knows the twitter response could be brutal.

Or he can keep reaching for an established power 5 head coach, which could drag the search out through an intolerable period for most fans.

There's no easy answer here.

Fulmer's still trying to find his inner sword, can't rush these things:)

I'm still hoping there'll be a coach named Leach.

Me too buddy but I don't think Fulmer wants him at UT for whatever reason...He sure would be fun and is my top pick but I just don't see it happening....We aren't allowed to have fun anymore.

Leach ran the ball fewer than any other team in the country last year. Do you honestly think that is a winning recipe in the SEC?

Now I like Leach. He is entertaining as hell. Had Currie brought him home I would have been satisfied to enjoy the ride for a his time here. I don’t think he was the long term answer for us though.

Sad but true. I really wanted to see a Leach coached Tennessee team throwing the ball all over the field. 😞

Prove to me that his system DOESN'T work in the SEC

Leach uses his backs in the passing game as well as the run game. Each back rushed for about 500 yards and also had around 400 yards receiving. Tell me that wouldn’t have been perfect for Kelly, Chandler, and CFA.

But, ya know, that's just facts

It doesn’t matter. Fulmer is a 3 yards and a cloud of dust kind of guy. He loves smash mouth football and will require that of his coach. It’s boring as all hell at times, but it wins in the SEC. Even though there is plenty of evidence the air raid offense would work in the SEC as well.

Leach is not face SEC defenses weekend and week out. Conference does play in to those stats.
