Clemson? They'll choke on their first 4 games or last 4 games, like they do every year...a new qb and new o-line won't help them either.

FSU? The Seminoles have as many problems as Miami does right now...and FSU's biggest problems is the feeling of complacency that you get from Bobby Bowden...I don't see the fire in the old man. They'll be improved though, and it wouldn't shock me if they made it to Jacksonville.

Wake? Grobe had an unbelievable run last year, but lightning won't strike twice...Wake has a 0% chance of repeating as ACC champs.

Georgia Tech? With defenses no longer triple-teaming CJ, the Jacket offense will really struggle.

Boston College? They lost their biggest asset in Tom O'Brien.

I'd call Virginia Tech the favorite...and after that, Miami's better than any team in the conference.

true the acc isn't very good. I think FSU and BC are the two favorites. I worry about Virginia Tech's qb.

people used to say the same for us.....and it's always assumed to be that way until it stops becoming true. having said that, i think right now you could flip a coint between TN and UGA....both have questions at various spots.....UF while losing a lot on D, isn't w/out a wealth of big time talent waiting in the wings. i'd still give the edge to UF in the EAST with TN, UGA and USC all being about equal......

the ACC right now is kind of a joke......you got three name programs in VT, Miami and FSU.....then there's clemson and Ga Tech, NCSU and MD all about the same place......Wake won't repeat because they were a sr. laden team last year.

the team that could, COULD, surprise is UNC....they'll be young in some spots, but they red shirted several guys last year, and Butch Davis could win a game or two he might not ought to in his first year.

right now, i'd say FSU may be the one poised to have a big comeback year.....and Miami wouldn't surprise me if they go either.

Who backs up Tebow? I have a feeling he is going to get his clock cleaned at some point in the season and have to sit for awhile.

why? because as a freshman all those LB's and DE's really laid it on him last year in the SEC?

i not going to argue that he'll have to do it for 12 games taking all the snaps this season vs. being a fad last sesaon.....but from what i've seen, toughness is not a problem of his.

No, he's tough enough but to your point, a higher % of plays and trying to make something out of nothing (man, I can still hear Chuck Webb's knee pop on that busted play)

I hope the defenses (at least ours) have a better scheme for Mr. Tebow but (also to your point) no evidence at this point to indicate an improvement.

So do you know his backup?

if a qb gets a seperated shoulder it doesnt matter how tough he is, he will have to miss some time.

i do think it's a disadvantage for us to play them as the first SEC Defense they'll face....what ever we screw up on will be good film work for all the rest of their opponents and ours........so i'd go on record now and say that several other SEC schools will have better defensive efforts against the gators than we do, win or lose.

and i know they got this young kid whose supposed to be great backing him.....but i can't remember his name........so, in short, no i don't know who it is.

Oregon State #22. Intersted to hear Milo's, or other resident PAC10 experts', take on this. I'm guessing that most everyone has Cal over Oregon State.

My feelings exactly. It sucks we get to see the 'unveiling' b/c I think we'd all agree that WKU and (my alma mater) T-roy will get the 'vanilla' version. Hopefully they make more mistakes than we do

Are you kidding? A few extra punts or kicks in a game WILL NOT wear on a punter's leg. He attempts FAR MORE punts in practice than he would ever kick in a game (punts, field goals, and kickoffs included).
