This should not be close.

Iowa and Michigan shouldnt be close. Ohio State and PSU shouldnt be close. Washington and USC shouldnt be close. SMU and Houston shouldnt be close. Navy and Houston shouldnt be close. Clemson and Pitt shouldnt be close. Its football.

Vols 34
Safe Space U 13

Tennessee's defense has been very suspect, but has been better when opponents get inside the redzone. I think the same scenario will play out for this one. Tennessee scores TD's and Mizzou has to settle for field goals, and a late trash TD.

Believe me I hope you're right! However we've only held two teams to 13 points or less this year. Our defense scares me. And not a good scare. More like a bad feeling in your stomach after eating taco bell scare.

Go Vols!

I agree. UT and SC shouldn't have been close.

We just gotta do our part and show up and cheer!

I'm honestly not as concerned with Missouri or vandy as much as I was Kentucky. Kentucky actually has a great run game and can score. Our defense is the weak link, but our team is playing better, especially on offense. Attitude is very different.

Eh, I dont know about that. I think Vandy is going to be a stiff test. They have one if the most explosive RBs you never hear about in Ralph Webb. And their defense is legit. And they are at home. That game is going to be tough imo.

They have a good RB and there defense is underrated. Good Dline. But i think our will and experience takes over here being the last home game

Webb is good, but hopefully we handle them.

You are right in that UT and SC shouldnt have been close, but upsets happen every year and are not foreseeable.

Oh I agree! Definitely not knocking the loss to SC. I think there was a lot going on with the team that we still probably don't know about totally. Does it stuck we don't control our own destiny? Absolutely! But we are closer to the SECCG game this year we've been in a long time. So I'll be there cheering as usual on Sunday! Hoping to send our seniors/juniors away in a winning fashion.

This game will be Dobbs best game IMO. He has never played outstanding against mizzou in his career, but this senior day he will go out with a bang! I say at least 200 pass yds and another 80-100 rush yds.

UT-34
Mizzou-20

Might help our defense if the offense could sustain some long drives and get the TOP a little closer than against Kentucky. Also, get some big plays from special teams and either score or keep the field position flipped our way. Its the new "parity" SEC and anyone not named Alabama can get beaten on any given Saturday. This team can't sleep on anyone and win.

what time is the vol walk, and whats best place to get in to see it taking my son for 1st time?

vol walk is, i think 2 1/2 hours before kick off...so, 1 pm?

as for what to do with your son, not sure how old he is, but if he's young, 6-10, the volunteer village is a good spot, it's a the Humanaties plaza...bounce houses, face painting, concessisions...you get good views of the band and cheerleaders as they go down to the stadium....good PG rated environment....

I'm pretty sure they play on Saturday. Gotta recheck the schedule. :)

This game will be a Tenn blow out 42-17 is my prediction. Now if Coach O hadn't
Of sabatoged his own defense with a scheme change that has wasted 9 starters off last years squad it might of been a competitive contest, but the switch back is to little to late.

Coach O made a huge blunder of epic proportions he took our strength and made it our weakness. He has hand on the Ground De trying to play stand up space technique as OLB.. He neutered our aggressive DL and made them read and react guys.
The scheme is sound but we don't have near the talent to play a LB centric style
of defense. We had a abundance of quality DL put he moved away from that until the last two Weeks.

What is sad is he was the DC last year and had intimate knowledge of our Defensive talent and he demonstrated he had no clue about what our rostered players could or could not execute.

If he had not tried to fix what wasn't broke and with our modest improvement on offense this season we should of competed in most games and went bowling with 6-7 wins.

But he chose his preferred LB odd front scheme over what his players could do. If your LB talent is your biggest weakness why would you play to that position?

UK beat Missouri 35-21 at Missouri I do believe. Ran for like 350 yards. I think we'll beat them way worse. People here seem to forget we were up 49-22 on UK before starters were pulled on defense.

nope, same song and dance...if we don't turn it over and don't make stupid mistakes, we should win fairly easily.

offensively, we need to see more of the KY/Ttech type game vs. the Ohio/App type game. defensively, we just can't give 'em cheap drives by committing penalties on 3rd downs that keep drives going.

And anyone could list about a million examples of games that were expected to be blowouts, that were. So that point really doesn't work.

Actually it works perfectly. The very fact that upsets happen on a weekly basis proves that underestimating ANY opponent is beyond foolish.
