With UT's defense reeling and Missouri's defense also maligned, will this game become a high scoring shoot out?

Jesus I hope not! They've only scored more than 28 points twice this season against Delaware st and middle Tennessee lol

Edit - 3 times* left out the eastern Michigan game

Probabaly. Unless someone we play just decides they aren't going to help over on Barnett and try to take him 1 on 1 the whole game, then every game left will have to be a shootout. We have nothing in the middle of the Dline. Sutton being back helps the secondary but he can't defend all the receivers at once. Not really worried about losing to Mizzou, but Vandy does concern me.

i think so....but i don't think MO's running game is as good as it's been in the past.

they lead the league in passing, so they'll get some yards, but this could be the type of game that works out well for DB and CV....should be plenty of opportunities to get to the qb....

conversely, MO's defense is no where near as stout as they've been recently, and i expect us to run around, thru and over them with Dobbs, Kamara and Kelly.

a bit of shoot out, but defensively we play a little better....and don't give up 600+ yards this week...prolly 400ish....but i think we run for darn near 300 ourselves.

this is another game, while the match up is a little different than last week, i think the basic plan is similar....offense..score early and often....defense do what you do best, rush the passer. what happens in between, we just have to live with.

Tennessee's defense has been very suspect, but has been better when opponents get inside the redzone. I think the same scenario will play out for this one. Tennessee scores TD's and Mizzou has to settle for field goals, and a late trash TD.

Statistically, Damarea Crockett is having the best freshman season as a running back in Mizzou history. Our young offensive line is getting better, and they are already very good at pass protection. If our coaches are smart, we will be a run first team for the foreseeable future, and a good one.

It will tough for us to stop Tennessee's power run game. I don't see Tennessee scoring fewer than 38.

Should be a decent game

That's how I see it as well

Wouldn't surprise me. You have the points about the defenses, and then there's also the very irritating fact that we seem to play down to our competition in most games

One would think so based on what you correctly pointed out....both defenses are bad. However, PFort tweeted out that while Mizzou averages nearly 420 yards per game vs P5 teams, they only average 18 ppg in those games. So, they don't finish drives evidently.

I'd say that they're gonna move the ball very well against us between the 20s, but are less likely to gets touchdowns/points. So I'm gonna say the game resembles our game vs Kentucky .....we're gonna give up a ton of yards but not nearly as many points as would be expected.

This should not be close.

nope, same song and dance...if we don't turn it over and don't make stupid mistakes, we should win fairly easily.

offensively, we need to see more of the KY/Ttech type game vs. the Ohio/App type game. defensively, we just can't give 'em cheap drives by committing penalties on 3rd downs that keep drives going.

If Tennessee struggles to stop the run it may well be
we've struggled to stop the run pretty much all season. i don't see any reason why MO won't have some success too.

i just don't think MO can stop us...this isn't the MO defense we've seen in recent years....and i expect this year's game to be the polar opposite of last year's FG fest.

We will most likely let Lock and their true FR RB have career games against our defense. Mizzou will probably set a school record for offense. Lock will probably carve us up. It will be an ugly statistical game. Tennessee will win a shootout.
