Al Wilson types (alpha personalities) are not "PC" in this day and age. Tolerance (even of bad behavior, bad play), and a 'there are no losers, only winners' mentality are the order of the day.
Guys like Ndamukong Suh might not be super popular but i love watching players like that try to murder people every play. He was knocking Tom Brady ass around the other day. Suh doent care who you are. I am afraid that guys like Al and Suh are a dying breed.

I'm just throwing crap at the wall here, but I bet it's because no one can lead by example. To'oTo'o may be the only one

Go back and watch the last two games if you can stomach it lol. Henry T has moments in both where be flat out quits and starts mildly jogging during plays. He certainly ain't leading by example

I think part of that is attributed to the players losing faith in the ability to win. They know they can’t if the QB is only good for 2 touchdowns a game. Pruitt has caused a massive problem by continuing to trot JG out there. Without having some real leaders on this team to hold them accountable, this team has given up and Pruitt has caused it with his stupidity.

I’m really shocked that Trey Smith hasn’t stepped into that role. Aside from being huge, he’s pretty intelligent and articulate. He’s clearly not a leader though.
Trey may be a leader, but not for the football team (maybe the players but not the team.)
When he led the team in the BLM march it was obvious that football is not his #1. (It's not my #1 either) When your team is missing practices because of covid (so you led your teammates in a march potentially exposing them) and practice is canceled so you and the coaches can march, football is not #1

It is great to have a leader on your team like Al Wilson, Manning, or Shuler types when they are surrounded by talented players. A leader can rally the troops with pep talks all day long, but it doesn’t matter all that much if he is surrounded by average or below average SEC players. I don’t see a lot of future NFL players on our team right now. If there are, they sure aren’t playing like it. We may have a lack of leadership problem, but the lack of talent is an even bigger issue.

It takes Alpha's to have team leadership and sadly it's being breed out of American society. PC correctness rules the day. Male aggression is looked down upon! If you display it, you are labeled a bully, sexist, homophobic, insensitive, uncaring, stupid, Neanderthal, bullheaded, intolerant, offensive, aggressive and the list goes on n on. Very few Alpha's get out of grade school now days, they are reprogramed to act with their feminine caring side. Heck they are told they can even be a woman if they want to, it's their choice! We may never win another war and we may not find a team leader.:)

Had to look up soy boy.....never heard that. Sorry...from the old school. I just call them p*ssies. I’ve seen more fire in high school football than the Vols this year.
Leadership has to start at the top.
Team doesn’t know who they are!
CJP kicks chalkboards and seems to have fire one game and another it’s like he’s completely emotionless.
Doesn’t know if a player needs a few words of encouragement or if he needs to get in their face and yell
