Too early to call. Have made a couple of nice moves since all the hoopla. Need more.

This...Haslam is a guy you need, Miller will space the floor...who knows what they will get out of Butler/Vonardo/Pittman.

Not sure Stack and Howard are a good thing or not, they are pretty old, maybe as your 8/9 guys.

^ Not for certain that Stack/Howard will sign or be offered I should say.

Take it from somebody who watched Howard closely all of last year, he is only good for a couple minutes a game. His main contribution to a team is more of a leadership role and a voice in the huddle. I think this is more of a last-ditch effort at a ring by him than anything.

I voted an early 'no.' I've already stated my reasons in other threads, but to recap:

- I don't think Bosh will be as good as advertised. I don't think he'll be able to win that one on one matchup with KG or Boozer or Bynum (and a handful of others) once they're in a best of 7. If they're going to win, Bosh has to prove he's more than a good stat line on a bad team like he has been his whole career thus far.

- I don't see the Heat picking up enough quality depth. Their big 3 are eating up too much salary. Look at every team that has won the title for the last decade. You are looking at teams with talent that goes 9-10 men deep. Riles will have to get 5 more guys to sign on at or near minimum salaries who are capable of playing more than 20 minutes a game (i.e. not your JaJuan Howards of the world). Getting these 3 was impressive, although I'm not so sure this hasn't been planned for years, rather than Riles salesmanship. I can't see them getting 5 quality guys who will take 15-20% of their current salary just to win.

However, if Bosh does play the best ball of his career so far, and Riles does find 5-6 quality players for pennies on the dollar, then the Heat can make this work.

The Lakers are still better at almost every spot on the floor. The Heat are good, but I think Jackson ends his career with another 3-peat.

Haslem has resigned and Miller has agreed to a 5 year deal this morning....Things are starting to take shape....More to come

I see no team that can match up to the Heat talent wise, so as long as the big 3 stay healthy I say yes.

really? They have two guys who have very similar games and need the ball in their hands to make it go plus a big man who the Lakers wouldn't trade either of theirs for.

They might add some good parts, but as built today, they can't play with the Lakers. If the Lakers stumble into a respectable PG situation, they will hammer that ass.

Lol... I'm not going to argue with u. I really do feel that Lebron & Wade can play off of each other just fine though

Zydrunas Ilgauskas is following LeBron James to the Miami Heat.....Got themselves a big man in the middle.

because both have had to play with a similar type player before or because players of their ilk have meshed so well in the past? Which makes you believe that it's a pair made in heaven.

As to Bosh, please.

Edit: and I can't stand the Lakers.

It is not a match in heaven. & what is ur deal with Bosh? l'm just tired of hearing that they can't play together.

I don't find Bosh a compelling post presence. He's a good basketball player, but not a game changer.

I'm don't mind that you're tired of hearing it. They might play well together, but the team will still have substantial issues without some help.

I think there going to get some very good. Also, I kind of agree with u on Bosh. He seems to need others around him.

I take Bynum and Gasol. It's not really very close.

Exactly.

The Lakers frontcourt is better.

The Lakers bench is better...at least for now.

Kobe's better than Wade.

Lakers have the edge in chemistry and coaching.

Miami's got a nice squad...I'm just not seeing them with many advantages against LA. Not to mention, they'll still have a stiff challenge in Boston.
