I'm worried about Bray when Bama comes a calling. I hope the O'line will be seasoned enough in the weeks to come to be able to keep Bama off of our QB.

Bray will be eating dirt and sod all day. Let's hope he is tough enough to come out unscathed.

I say we just put Simms in for the bama game. It is at bama, if he gets hurt it doesnt matter. I don't want Bray to go down just because we think we can beat bama, and possibly lose our chances at the east.

He may never make it to the Bama game. Remember they have LSU first who is just as good if not better. Back to back games with these two teams they'll be lucky to not be a mash unit coming out of it. Then Carolina off a bye week, someone hates the Vols.

lol if you think we can win any form of title with that kind of attitude you're in for a rude awakening.

not that any of these threads have any bearing on outcomes or importance in general, I still like to read them and post. Why? I don't know. Will the young UT team beat any of the other more talented and experienced teams? Probably not. But, stranger things have happened. I would love it. I remember a certain UT team that was supposed to get blown out in the Sugar Bowl against the eventual National Champion Miami Hurricanes. UT won that game...it was awesome. Let's hope that old time rock n roll comes back.

Just finished watching the AL-FL game, and our boys better be READY for Saban's. That defense swallows opponents whole. Our o-line needs to dig their heels in, toughen up, and get ready for the meat of our schedule; starting with Georgia next week. The 3rd Sat in Oct is not too far off. Go Vols.

He'll be fine. It's not like Kent State's quarterback ended up decapitated by the half or anything.

With that said, we'll need at least 4 big breaks in the form of fumbles, pick sixes, and 60 yd TD bombs to even have a chance of winning.

I just hope we don't lose someone else big. Hunter was enough for me. So disappointing. I like our chance better with LSU, especially after watching the first half against kentucky... They looked pathetic (of course I missed the 2nd half). After seeing that though, LSU looks like 3/4 the team that alabama has right now.

:whistling: No kidding, I don't see how he can not get hurt. I predict -30 years rushing for the game. Poole will leave the Bama game early just to keep from getting hurt. :cray: Its going to be rough.

If we win the east do we put simms in during the sec championship game vs bama so we have bray for the national championship game?

No because by then we should have a better line to protect our QB :)

This is where I'm more worried about Rivera or Poole failing to pick up a guy, like Rivera did today than I am about the front 4 holding up. Oh yes and Stone getting a case of the oh sh!tz when he's snapping the ball worrying about his assignment swallowing him.

Nice to see that there are Vol fans near the DC area and I completely agree

I think the line may end up stepping up more than what most think. Not expecting a W, but i think we see the O-line step up and Bray throwing for big numbers.

LOL heck why even show up for those games. Just go on and Forfeit to LSU and Bama. Heck if LSU doesnt break Brays legs Bama will put him in a Coma.

I agree BAMA and LSU has Great teams with Elite Defenses but come on. You guys act like we are going up against the Ravens and Steelers. I'm not saying we will win but I don't see us getting blown out either.

This team is young, but it looks to me like they know how to play some football this year.

I think they might just pull off a Shocker against one of the Big Boys this year. Nothing to back that up with, just a Feeling.

You know I had a feeling too against Florida...that being said i have another one that they will pick off one of the two goliath's and surprise people and then all the naysayers will crawl back down in their holes until we drop one and out they will come

Guys its the SEC, anything can happen on any saturday, 2 years ago Bammers were nat'l champs and we took it to the wire in bama with freakin' J crompton at QB and the Sullins twins on the OL. You don't just give up and put in your second stringers before the game even starts lolololololololol

That line at least had a mean streak that these boys lack. They get pushed around so easily on some run plays.
