Will Overstreet

what the hell does that have to do with anything?

Agreed. I'm an overstreet (as the player) fan, and I was hearing him preach until that stupid line. That made the rest of the statement worthless.

How many white defensive ends have amounted to anything while at UT? Anywhere for that matter? It's one of those skill positions that is usually dominated by someone with superior physical ability. You just don't associate that with a white boy.

Was it racist or something that should be offensive? I apologize if it was.

just wondered why you felt that it added to the story.

In all honesty, did I answer it for you? I appreciated what he accomplished while at UT while playing a position that is usually dominated by a different ethnicity. Kind of like pulling for Larry Bird. Which I am by no means comparing him to.

Well, actually, if you compared him to Bird...do you forget what Bird accomplished while he was a player because he is not a very good manager or father?

Sorry, I just appreciated what Overstreet did while at UT and I enjoyed watching him play. I couldn't care less what he feels about the Fulmer situation. Did some of you all forget Fulmer has already been fired?

Patrick Kearney, Kevin Greene, Jared Allen, Jack Youngblood all come to mind.

Hitler's already dead. Do we forgive the sympathizers?

Yes, it's hyperbole. And I'm not comparing Fulmer to Hitler.

I find it laughable that people on hear can find it in themselves to call a former Vol that gave his all on the field for The Big Orange names while hiding behind their keyboard, was he overrated as a player ? PROBABLY, is his opinion of the Fulmer situation different than most of ours ? YES, but hey, it's his opinion and he's entitled to it however misguided it might be. I find it sad that people have become so anti-Fulmer that they will bash a former player for taking the stance of supporting their former coach.

I'm 100% for the coaching change that was needed but I see no need to flame players or former players that were against it.

RIGHT ON!!!!! We all should remind them the order is actually reversed:

1. Fans
2. University
3. Fulmer
4. Themselves

If I was a player and checked out the "love" that some people show on here for our former players just because they dare to have a different opinion than the all knowing fan I probably wouldn't have fan on the list. Some (and growing) of y'all guys need to get a grip. :whatever:

Okay, then I'll bash a guy with his own radio call-in show who continuosly spouts out that the fans never have a right to complain about his dear old multi-millionaire friend. He can support Fulmer all he wantes, fine with me. But don't trash the fans for wanting better.

Overstreet was a hell of a player when he was at TN. That shouldn't be questioned.

Overstreet is a has-been.

I'd much rather be a has-been than a never-was.

I know Overstreet isn't the easiest guy to listen to or even agree with, but he's entitled to his own opinion and feelings just as much (if not more so) than anyone of us sitting in front of our computer.

I understand...he wasn't even an average DL in the NFL. So what. He was there, wasn't he? Can anyone else here say that?

Its cool, though. The guy's sport/tech venture is about to take off. His company is doing some HUGE things. So congrats and good luck to Overstreet.
