Will Milton establish himself as a solid #2?

Not a number 2 this year, nor next with Hunter returning, nor the year after with the studs we have coming in.. He will lucky to be a number 3 guy at any point in his career at UT truthfully. This year is his best opportunity to a number 2 and he is simply not there. Sorry, but his future is not bright at UT unless he learns how to play a TE, and can be utilized like a Jared Cook.

That's a good point and you may be right. I'm just more of a wait and see person. That's all I can do anyway. Heck, even if he just develops into a reliable spell guy, that's better than some guys we've had in the past.

i agree that dallas and arnett are probably the most talented options we have behind DR right now, but i think ZR's experience holds him in at number 2 for at least half the season if not all of it

Fair enough. New poster and valid explanation this time. Work like heck, watch the film, and maybe I'll consider bumping you up to 2nd string. :eek:k:

Like what has he shown since he has been a Player @ University of Tennessee? His time is up! NEXT!

He has never started before except for the slot, now is his opportunity. Let's hope he surprises the negazachs.

Yea Zach has shown more than Milton so that shud tell you about Milton if Z Rogers is better than him. I think Milton cud be good in the red zone thats it tho!

oh good. I was worried we had filled our "illiterate new posters who think they know it all" quota for the month.

Well if thats the case prepare for no Prodyction @ WR then. If his expeiernce is te only reason. That makes no sense. We didnt recruit Dallas amd Arnett to sit. Were not gonna win the NC this yr so play the young kids to see what there made of and whip the old out EX ZRO he hasnt showed anything imo and being white has nothing to do with his physical talents. I think Milton is just as bad if not far worst than ZRO atleast ZRO can crack the 2 Deep

In your opinion, what is a physically talented wide receiver?

Zach lost a lot in my eyes with his performance at Florida. He had balls thrown in his area 2 or 3 times and either wasn't looking for them or couldn't get his hands on the ball. He has the knowledge and the speed, but I'm starting to think he doesn't have "it" to be a big time receiver.

The answer is no. Unfortunately, we have a bunch of XBox experts on here who obviously know a lot more than our coaches.

He is starting because of an injury. Yes the coaches do know that if it weren't for experience he wouldn't see the field. He is Garcon without the speed, drops passes at the worst possible times.

Dont think we will see Milton. His hands aren't good enough. Time for a Freshman to step up. Why not put Arnett on the outside, and Dallas in the slot?

Milton had a catch against Florida last week, but he's got a long way to go. Arnett will play outside if that's what they have him practicing, but playing inside and outside are pretty different. Different routes, different blocking schemes, different blitz options and recognition. You can't just throw a guy outside when he's been inside the whole time.

Funny, because he is one of the fastest on the team. Count the drops from the other receivers and compare them to Z Rogers. You might be surprised.
Secondly, he is our 3rd best WR because of two players (da'rick and Justin) who are freak athletes.
If you want to bring up durability, then you have a valid argument, but questioning the talent, and still consistently seeing him on the field, makes you look ignorant.

ZR is fast, but his routes aren't that good. If he treated route-running as a craft like wr's should, he'd be a lot better and more productive considering how fast he is!

What the hell does his color have to do with anything? He's simply not that good. He's ok but from what I've seen of him he can't catch the ball. Ya'll seriously need to stop with this race crap.

I think people don't want to accept ZR is the answer because they're presuming he has limited physical potential. There have been a lot more threads and posts about getting (superiorly athletic even know he hasn't done anything for us) Matt Milton out there than there have been about how we can use what Zach brings to the table to our advantage.

And I think there is a race angle to this trend. JMO.

With miltons size and speed it makes no sense thAt he can't get on the field. He must just be real dumb or something. Otherwise our coaches are. I'll bet on the former...and z Rogers shouldn't be on the field IMO. He may know all the plays but I'd rather put in someone who could be a big play threat and take my chances

Who says he can't make a big play? He made an 80 yard reception last year and caught a TD off the ground this year. I hope Milton will be able to contribute, too. He is only a second year guy and has time to get better.
