Will McBride > JG

McBride has heart, but that doesn't win games in the SEC.

Ankle injuries don't just miraculously disappear after a few weeks. JG is out there doing the best he can. He lacks confidence. He can be a decent QB. As other posters have said, he's never been coached at the college level. I can't wait to see Canales move on.

Right looked like a wounded duck

Some of you guys don't understand. It's ok

There is a lot to like with the way JG throws.

Think a lot of you expect a polished freshman qb playing behind a line that doesn't even have 5 scholarship players on it.

The kid looks good for his age, experience, not doing 7-7 this summer & the offensive line issues

Is JG 100%? If not, I would not play him. If he is, why isn't he running like McBride was?

I get it that JG is probably more athletic ... but McBride got more production, as far as I could see.

I understand that the O line is nonexistent but since they burned McBride's redshirt they should give him more snaps. JG seems awkward, unconfident and totally afraid to tuck it and run. The argument that he has any more mobility than McBride is a fail and his accuracy is terrible.

You’ve lost your mind. Go sleep it off, try again tomorrow.

So many experts (aka star gazers) that can't watch a players current performance and make a judgement. All they know is how rivals or 24/7 ranked them out of high school. McBride is a gamer and JG is a deer in the headlights.

Are any of you yahoos commenting on these QBs some of the ones that said we'd be better at QB with Dormady this year?

If you are, stop talking now

McBride is not near the player JG is. He’s decent but with some solid coaching JG has potential to be special with his passing ability.

Remember that for a while Dobbs looked pretty bad. Give them time to develop

I like McBride. He just plays. Doesn't freak out when the o line breaks down or try to overanalyze coverage. He just plays. May not have all the tools these other guys have but he doesn't know it.

McBride has 42% completion on the season, and against one of the worst defenses we've played this year took 6 sacks and threw more interceptions than JG has thrown all year.

And it's not like he just takes risks, but moves the ball. He's averaging less than 4 yards an attempt. JG's only averaging a little over 6, so it's not like he's lighting it up either, but if you can't move the ball you better at least not turn it over.

Yeah I like WM's potential but saying he's our best QB based on a the Mizzou game is nuts. Barely 50% comp and three turnovers against a horrid D

I'd have bet money he would have had at least a couple turnovers tonight
