Will Jalen Hurd be the first UT player to win the Heisman Trophy?

Will Jalen Hurd win a Heisman Trophy at Tennessee?

I'm tired of the bickering about the OU loss and coaching, I figured I'd throw something else out there positive, albeit controversial. Not that it will stop the other bickering :p

I would love to see him be in position to win it. He is willing to do all of the running back dirty work too.

I say he will. I think he'll be a first round pick in his NFL draft too.

Hurd is already performing very well with crap blocking. Once the OLine gels he'll rip apart the next line of defense.

Good pick for a team with a fantastic line, such as the Cowboys. Not sure if he's good enough to go to a team with a poor line though...

How many more years are you giving the line to get it together?

I honestly never see a Tennessee player win it. Maybe with Nike's help he could get close. But needs a good story line. Like he was orphaned as a child and raised by a gang of Christians in Uganda and snuck out in the middle of the night during a civil war of local tribes and was picked up and brought back to the states by the Tebow family where he learned at an early age to play football and help other refugees during their struggles. Lol

1-2. Offensive Lines are very difficult to get together, but once you got a system rolling it almost never falls apart.

It's hard for UT people to imagine because Fulmer was an OLineman and coached OLine for a long time. He understood how to develop OLine, and we just haven't gotten back into the rhythm yet.

He will have to learn not to "tap out" after a 30 yard run. Fournette (spelling?) just ran 80 yards to the Auburn 5 and stayed in the rest of the series...

Fournette and Chubb get all the press unfortunately

If you're watching Fournette today, he deserves every bit of press he gets. Dude is a beast. Hurd is very good, probably the best player on UT's roster, but he ain't Fournette, then again, nobody is.

Bump. Look at the odds from our own fan base. Granted those odds are warranted given our Heisman woes and last decade of Tennessee football. But could this year be the year????
