Will Hurd and Kirkland play tomorrow?

Did Hyams really say Kirkland would play? That's complete opposite of the report earlier in the week. Awesome if true, but forgive me for doubting. Also, any update on McDowell?

Hyams also said UF/LSU likely wouldn't happen. It's all speculation and no one knows except the coaches.

Why is Hyams saying Kirkland had a good week of practice mean he won't play? I think people hate on Jimmy too much. He is boring to listen to but he provides good, solid info even if it is late. He is an old soul who still double checks all stories/info with 2-3 sources to clarify authenticity. He doesn't just report the first thing he hears like most people.

So, if anything, Hyams is more trustworthy than most.

Because people like to jump to conclusions when they hear something on a message board. If Kirkland weren't going to play he wouldn't practice this week period.

Actually Hyams is the person I would trust most on something like this. That guy is old school and triple checks all sources.

Blue font? Not trying to be a d*ck, but Kamara had 127 yards rushing, Kelly had 89 yards rushing and Dobbs had 57 yards rushing.

And last year Hurd had 92 on bama.

Wow -- these numbers are quite interesting.

What a dilemma for DeBord.

I think we can give him a pass on the UF/LSU game since that was WAY outside Knoxville. He's got certain inside knowledge to our team sure, but trying to guess what was going on between the SEC/LSU/UF would be a hard task for anyone.

It's TN AB and DKJr is going to dress for it. That's probably a given. With this rivalry, home game, last true test on our schedule, and that kids heart I feel sorry for the trainer that will be tasked to keep his helmet from him.

If he dresses he's gonna at least take a few snaps. I don't see how they could keep him off the field. And then its probably largely on how DKJr feels and how well they observe his mobility and change in direction that determines how long he plays.

The part you and everyone keeps leaving out, he came back shortly after that and said he was hearing that they had reached an agreement.

This was before it was announced.

I know it's Basilio but he was right on Hall back in the summer. Hoping and praying he is wrong about this. It's odd that he is saying Kirkland reinjured his ankle while Hyams saying Kirkland had a good week of practice. Who the hell knows and now we have no insiders on this board except a couple and Butch is more secretive than the CIA about injuries.

Kirkland practiced. I expect to see him, but we will see.

A high ankle sprain typically takes 5-6 weeks for a regular person, but Kirkland has access to the best rehab possible, so he might just be ready to go.

He was injured September 10, so it's been just over 4 weeks. I think he might get limited play like JRM against UF, but if it goes well he will stay in.

5 weeks tomorrow.

Guess he read it on a message board, chief.

All I'm saying is the only people who really know whats going on are the coaches and players. So if I'm a Coach and Kirkland is as bad off as Hubbs claims he is, why let him practice all week and risk further injury?

I gotcha. I don't know. Guess we'll see tomorrow. We definitely need him if he's healthy enough to go.

I hope he plays, but Fortenberry just said on the radio that he doubts DK plays with the way practice went this week.
