Kirkland is questionable. Hurd is likely I believe. I think Kirkland might get a few plays, but I don't think he is 100%. Rumors on the board that he was still having issues during practice.

Kirkland we could really use. Hurd would not be missed as much after the performance we saw from Kamara last week.

We need both. Especially Hurd. Need him to do some pounding for third and shorts

I tend to think we'll see both but there's been some good gamesmanship on Kirkland.

It may not matter.... then again... Saban said two years ago that they weren't prepared for Dobbs to be able to run like he did against them. What they can do offensively vs UT on O with and without Kirkland is different.

If Hurd is coming off a concussion I would be surprised to see him being utilized like a battering ram.
Look for him to run more lateral plays, more blocking and catch some passes out of the backfield.
Could see both Kelly and Hurd together in on short yardage plays.

Hurd will play.....................

Jimmy Hyams said this morning that based on what he's heard, Kirkland will play because he's had a good week of practice............

So...........this means Kirkland won't play................

Did Hyams really say Kirkland would play? That's complete opposite of the report earlier in the week. Awesome if true, but forgive me for doubting. Also, any update on McDowell?

Yes, this morning on 104.5 the zone Nashville. This only means Kirkland won't play. Hyams said based on everything he's heard, Kirkland has had a good practice week.......which, like you stated, is contrary to what has been reported all week.

Kirkland practiced. I expect to see him, but we will see.

A high ankle sprain typically takes 5-6 weeks for a regular person, but Kirkland has access to the best rehab possible, so he might just be ready to go.

He was injured September 10, so it's been just over 4 weeks. I think he might get limited play like JRM against UF, but if it goes well he will stay in.

Why is Hyams saying Kirkland had a good week of practice mean he won't play? I think people hate on Jimmy too much. He is boring to listen to but he provides good, solid info even if it is late. He is an old soul who still double checks all stories/info with 2-3 sources to clarify authenticity. He doesn't just report the first thing he hears like most people.

So, if anything, Hyams is more trustworthy than most.

I agree. While hyams is usally really late to the party he always provides quality trustworthy information. I take him saying that to mean that Kirkland will play quite a bit tomorrow.
