Will Grier Appeal - DENIED

We'll play the game anyway and see what happens. I understand the past. I just think Tennessee will be better next year and finally get it done.

...I don't object to the very reasonable opinion that Florida could win again next year. It's the excessive level of fawning going on here that I find just plain weak.

If the roles were reversed you know you'd laugh at any Gator fan that said they'd "beat our @$$ silly."

I dont think it's fawning. I think its people so numb from the pain that they refuse to believe.

I have said before i dont believe in ghosts or goblins either....right up until you pull major upsets or win games that had "loss" written all over it. Then, i start thinking there may be something to all of this. Im at that point

KBVol's back to back posts were servile. There is a difference between having no faith in your own team and kissing your opponent's bare butt. Maybe it's because I'm old enough to remember the last time Tennessee faced an 11 game losing streak (vs #2 Alabama 1982) or maybe it's just because I think Tennessee will have a pretty damn good veteran team next year...I think it happens - at the very least I expect another close one.

I honestly have stopped caring about the UF game. Its just an automatic L as far as I'm concerned. Is what it is. I'm past embarrassment and frustration. Its just whatever. Here's to 11-1 next year.

I'm at the point where I may not even watch the Florida game any more because I already know the outcome.

Like I've said previously, he wasn't just busted for some innocent over the counter protein shake as many would have you believe. He went from around 175 to 220 in one summer. The facts are not all public, but I can put two and two together or add 45 pounds of body mass. Thus the lack of sympathy in the appeals process.

Can't believe grown men believe in a curse.

Does it help Tennessee that a guy will play QB that is not as good as the starter? Absolutely. Il

Does it mean we win? There's 21 other positions that factor into that. But it helps.

Yeah alot of the defense that is the real reason Florida has been competitive will be in the NFL. So McElwain will have to prove his worth. I say send a safety to constantly help a db on Callaway and take him out of the game. In before 4 guys couldnt stop him on 4th and 14. But we wont be in prevent mode all game. :)

Dude, if you cant see the obvious pattern by now.

For 10 months, it will be nothing but... Tennessee finished the season hot, should have won last year, Harris sucks, it's at Neyland, Florida's 2015 season was a fluke, horse teeth, (feel free to add to the list), etc.

Then, they'll play the game. I fell for it again this past year. No more. Some how, some way....Tennessee mistakes, timely plays by Florida, an officiating error, a clock error, bad turf, improper shower technique, CBS, ESPN, SEC network, Corso, Gatorade, whatever....Florida wins.

It just is. And now we even know the theme thats going to make people believe all offseason

I don't have my head in the sand like alot on here. You cannot believe that he's the next Saban just because of this year after taking over a football team with alot of talent. Come back in year 3 or 4 and lets see how that works out.

So you're telling me that the NCAA actually did something right??? Grier made a stupid decision and there was no way he was going to win that appeal. I get it, athletes try to find every edge to be better than opponents but when I see guys get busted for stuff like this I have no sympathy for them because you know what you put into your body and you have a full time training staff that OKs or declines supplements. He had resources to make the right decision but neglected to do and that's on him. I've been confident that we should've beaten Florida the last 2 years and the Vols have let me down but if we have to play against Treon Harris for an entire game then I think we win pretty easily next year. He is not a good QB. Breaks are starting to go our way guys and gals!

I don't think the NCAA did all that it should. I think they should have vacated all the wins where he started. I'm not saying they should give UT the W, just not record a loss where it's known the guy cheated and a competitive advantage.

I agree that they should be vacated. Even with it being vacated we still don't win the east though. They would would still have the better record based on win percentage. That's why I'm not outraged at them not being vacated.

He had been on campus for well over a year when he got busted. It's not inconceivable that he could gain 45lbs in 1.5 years. Emmanuel Moseley gained 30+ in one spring.

Finally good news here in Florida with his appeal being declined. The Gators cheat more than any team in the NCAA and get away with it! Glad he will still be out for our game with them next year in Knox. Go Vols!!
