Will Fulmer hire Kiffin?

Kiffin's risk is his personal life and character. Football wise, there may not be a better hire in the country. I personally think he's grown up enough not to blow it on a big stage again.

I'd rather take a risk on him than with a complacent coach past his prime (Les, Cutcliffe) or an unqualified VFL (Tee, Steele). If you can't make a splash hire like Gundy/Gruden/Petersen/Leach then Kiffin is by far the best option.

I don't think Kiffen gets a look from Phil. Cannot be controlled expect by a Saban type personality. There would be immediate conflict and turmoil between those two.

Yep. At the end of the day, he’s a smart coach and players love him. Saban doesn’t win a natty without him. That was especially proven true last season vs Clemson

We definitely know Phil is gonna talk to Sexton because Sexton represents every coach and their brother.

Sexton would be a bad agent if he didn’t push Kiffin’s name to Phil.

No one who was in the Administration when Kiffin was here will be on board to bring him back. He had his chance, but decided to leave. The grass definitely wasn't greener on the other side in this instance. Those on line signatures are a waste of time. This is one time the Admin won't heed to pressure.

His last title at Bama pre Lane was 3 years before. There’s a reason why Saban was not winning titles in 13 and 14.

Even Saban admitted that offense was evolving and he had to change. He hired Lane to help in the evolution.

Why do you think Les flamed out at LSU.

Those old school Pro style Saban teams would not win today.

Might want to use context or simply understand football first before looking like a fool.

What the Hell? Might want to consult the record books. Saban went one year without winning a title before hiring Lane after winning 2 titles in a row and 3 out of 4. Your argument is so dumb.

He won the 2012 title. Didn’t win one in 2013 or 2014. 2015 natty makes it 3 seasons. Math is hard for you.

Once again, the game was changing and even Saban had to evolve on offense. Saban said it. Hiring Lane gave him his 4th title and not letting him coach last season caused him to lose his 5th title.

Good enough for Saban is more than good enough for Tennessee.

Get off your holier than thou kick.

2014 Kiffin was hired. Didn't win it.

Regardless of how good of a candidate Lane is, I don’t see any way Fulmer hires him. Both for his own personal reasons and because he’d be too divisive in the fanbase. It’s a shame

If you think we are the laughing stock of the nation right now, wait until we botch this hire and don't hire Lane Kiffin. He is sitting there waiting to use his 3 years under Saban to tear apart his defenses with his unparalleled offense. We will suffer the consequences for decades especially if Lane goes to Arkansas or Auburn. We have a Saban disciple who just won the SEC championship in his second year with Georgia. Betcha Kiffin's offense can beat Smart's or Saban's defense and where would that put the Vols?

Not if Lane put Tee and Steele on the staff. Plus, just judging off the polls here, I would say at least 60% of fans would welcome him back.
