that runs a Spread/RPO or a Pro style offense? Naturally, you would think a Pro style, but there are very few of them left. I think it will be someone who does a little of both. I sure hope we line up in a power look when we are at the 1 yard line instead of being in the shotgun.

I'd rather him just hire someone. Highering one sounds rough for both.

The RIGHT coach will turn to an Offensive Coordinator to make suggestions based on roster strengths. Failure to do that cost Jones his job.

"A coach that upholds the traditions of Tennessee"

3 yards and a cloud of dust will return to the Hill and I really don't have an issue with it

Not necessarily but Michigan and Stanford are succeeding with it. All about having the right coach. Have to be able to evaluate talent, recruit, develop, hire good assistants, etc. If they can do those things then it will be alright

who knows? The pro style offense still works though. It may not produce the video game stats, but it does work.

Personally, I dont care what kind of offense our next coach runs, just as long as he is a winner.

My fear is that the Les Miles / Tee Martin partnership comes to Knoxville.

Why would this be a fear? With the dumpster fire the program is right now Miles would be a stabilizing force just from his experience standpoint. Add in Tee to run the O and it's a match made.

I'd take Les with Tee right this second.

I think some still think Gruden will magically appear, but its just not happening and never was

It's championship Saturday and it's 6:30pm. I repeat your question....will Fulmer hire a coach? Nebraska got theirs. We aren't getting Peterson, Patterson or Fuente. Let's get on with hiring an up and comer.

I dont see why some would have a problem with this. Miles is not a long term answer and he wont bring us a championship, but lets be honest, we are nit winning a championship anytime soon. I do think Miles could stablize the program, change the culture and get the program where it needs to be for the next coach.

You say fear, I say wish

Well it’s more of feeling conflicted. Having Head Coach in Waiting titles were a big deal a while ago.

But here’s the thing, what if Les and Tee come in and bomb. Tee wouldn’t get the job if Les fails. Also, what happens if they come in and win big. Les Isn’t gonna retire on a heater. Just means that Tee’s stock as a coordinator would keep rising and there isn’t a guarantee he’d leave for a bigger job.

Fulmer can rub elbows with the entire coaching fraternity next week in NYC.
