Mears pimped it in the 70's ,, Will Cuonzo wear it for every game like Mears?

Does Fashion follow style?

I don't think so. Martin don't want the Bruce comparison thing to come up. And I agree 100% with that. Hopefully the only time they bring up Bruce when comparing Martin is NCAA tournament appearances in as many years :D

Not a Bruce thing. A Ray Mears thing. Bruce paid tribute. It would be cool if Cuonzo did the same.
I know that he did because of Mears. Just saying its a Bruce like thing to pay tribute. Not Cuonzo's style IMO

Fair enough, would still be cool. He is going to be compared to Bruce, jacket or no jacket. Trying to avoid comparison by not wearing the jacket is fewlish.

He just seems to be more conservative and business like than Bruce. Bruce was a showman

I hope not. I know it's Mears's tradition, but I don't want to hear or see any resemblance of Bruce EVER EVER EVER again.

Buzz Peterson and Jerry Green both wore the Orange Blazer, just didn't receive as much attention for obvious reasons. If Cuonzo wants to wear it I say go for it, if not I won't be upset either.

I think he should wear it for big games. I don't think those will happen for at least 2 more years. However, I don't see Cuonzo wearing one. It doesn't seem to be his style. He seems so low key it's almost like you didn't even notice him last night.

If he's ever anywhere on my side of the arena, I will ask him to leave. I'm dead serious.

Ask someone to leave that put more into Tennessee basketball in six years than you will into your entire lifetime? That's a little dense.

I hope he stays away for a year or two, but if he comes to games I would welcome it with open arms, because he loves this area, this program, and the kids he recruited. He made a STUPID mistake and he paid the price for it when he lost his job. If he chooses to be a fan after that, then that says a lot about his character. Moreso than anti-Pearls would want to admit.
