You know its a shame to throw away an oppotunity for success in order to get stoned. He could have easily been in the 1 2 punch at running back but couldn't stop smoking blunts. Anyone know how long before he comes back or even if he will?

has any of this been substantiated? If so, I missed it.

I;ve read several papers saying it was drug related. This is definitely not his first offense. will he play again

what about the open ended answer from fulmer on when he'll return. maybe 2 weeks or 2 months or something similar. does he have to pass atest or something before he can play

From a supposedly reliable poster, he should be back for the Florida game if he does what he needs.

From another poster in-the-know Hamilton doesn't sound too interested in allowing him back regardless of what he does.

So I'll just wait and see.

i'm totally in favor of kicking him off the team. I hate being distracted by stuff like this. Think about how big of a distraction this is to the team on the eve of the season opener. That's not healthy for anyone. If he truly used drugs he deserves NO spot on the team, it's not like using drugs is something "new" to anyone. Everyone knows the consequences of using drugs (whether you're an athlete or not), he thought about those consequences and felt like it was worth it apparently. He knew what was at stake. He chose to be suspended, and if it were my decision I don't want guys like that around the locker room.

QFT...You've gotta be ready to accept responsibility for your actions.

While I'm in favor of the university acting on it's drug policy, Coker isn't the only guy on the team that smokes weed.

Meachem and McBride failed drug tests(smoky smoky!) last year before the Outback Bowl against Penn St. I think there was a 3rd but I can't remember who. Being first violations, Tennessee doesn't take a hard stance. You don't want guys like Meachem and McBride around the locker room?

I have also heard that he has some kind of learing disorder or something. Any truth to this???

I can't think of anyone less qualified to give "inside" info than a bluehaired usher.

Sadly, judging from some of the "sources" that have been referenced in the past few days, this guy is extremely reliable. At least CBC was up front about it.
